Bobcats working on a deal

The Bobcats are closing in on a deal and there's a good chance it involves the Golden State Warriors. I'm told management will emerge from the war room following the 36th pick, and the Warriors own that pick.

What's the rumored deal, Rick?

Posted by: Brad | Jun 28, 2007 10:10:51 PM

Oh no....please don't trade Brandan Wright for Marco Belinelli (OR Jason Richardson) and Golden State's No. 36 pick. A shooting guard makes sense, but Wright falling was a coup. Still stratching my head over the Dudley pick, because doesn't Charlotte already have a less-than-athletic, scoring small forward in Adam Morrison?

wright for jrich a proven player and another pick? I'm all for that.

Monta Ellis would be pretty sick on the 'Cats...though I wouldn't be down with a straight up Brandan Wright for Ellis trade.

Hey, I heard a rumor that Duley, May and Wright would be traded, with cash, for Kevin Garnett. Anybody else hear this rumor?

are you crazy?

BRING BARON BACK!

Posted by: Stokely | Jun 28, 2007 10:27:51 PM

I believe we will get J. Rich that would be a good fit

Posted by: Todd | Jun 28, 2007 10:28:14 PM

Asenequa: THAT WOULD BE GREAT....but it doesn't sound like it is going to happen because Golden State will hose us.

If the Bobcats are going to trade Wright, why didn't they go big with the 22 pick?

To the Dook fans: Looks like McRoberts will fall into the second round. Maybe the Bobcats can pick him up....LOL.

Trade May trade felton get Ellis & J. Rich if KG and Amare are not available /Playoffs in 07 is not out of the picture

Posted by: Todd | Jun 28, 2007 10:31:16 PM

Asenequa: your right that would make sense but we have to sign Wallace first he brings energy plus Carrol from the outside for 3

Posted by: Todd | Jun 28, 2007 10:33:50 PM

Todd: Golden State doesn't need Felton, they have Baron Davis.

Richardson may be a good fit SO LONG as Charlotte re-signs Wallace. Richardson and Felton don't play defense, so you have to keep Wallace as a perimiter stopper.

Steve your right/ we need a shooter who can also create his on shot

Posted by: Todd | Jun 28, 2007 10:37:42 PM

Calling it now....with the 36th pick, Taurean Green (to fill in as a back-up point guard).

What do people think about Marc Gasol at 36? He's a scoring center -- not as athletic as his brother Pau -- and is 7-foot-1, 295-pounds.

i'm thinking wright for biedrens, however, we should have picked that guy from finland

Posted by: Dayne | Jun 28, 2007 10:46:51 PM

It was just announced on ESPN and as much as I do not like Stephen A. Smith, he is dead on that the trade seems a little off.

Posted by: Steve | Jun 28, 2007 10:47:44 PM

Just to clarify that trade being referred to on ESPN is Jason Richardson for Brandon Wright.... I guess that means Carroll is gone in free agency

Posted by: trade | Jun 28, 2007 10:50:31 PM

They should let May go and kept wright. J rich can make his on shot/ we dont have that

Posted by: todd | Jun 28, 2007 10:50:57 PM

Wright for JR straight up? I despise Wright, but NO NO NO!!! You can't trust those knees given that contract (11, 12, 13, 14 mil for the next 4 years.)

What are we getting for sure?

Posted by: Sam Bowie | Jun 28, 2007 10:52:51 PM

I'm a bobats fan. But if they don't re-sign gerald wallace and trade Brandon Wright for a lesser player they have lost me

Posted by: DR | Jun 28, 2007 10:53:33 PM

Golden State would not want May, he really doesn't fit with what they do while Wright is a perfect fit.

I don't think it ever happened in an actual NBA game, but Chris Mullin is about to dunk on Michael Jordan.

Richardson has been hurt recently and has become the FOURTH scoring option on the Warriors....I wish the Bobcats had picked Morris Almond at 22 and then went home.

Posted by: Steve | Jun 28, 2007 10:54:00 PM

Wallace is probably gone. We ought to just suck it up and keep Wright. I think he is going to be really beneficial for this Bobcats team. I admit, having Richardson would be good but as far as chemistry and balance, it makes sense to keep Wright, as much people want to see a big move.

Hey does anyone remember a few days ago when Rick said we'd never get J-Rich? :)

Posted by: Rich4114 | Jun 28, 2007 10:54:26 PM

Jason Richarson for Wright
