Wright may be traded
Don't assume that because the Bobcats drafted Brandan Wright, that he'll ever play here. I hear they're working hard right now to move him on to another team.

A good pick and a trade with for in the mix with Garnett to Phoenix and A. S. to Charltote would be better...will not happen. A. S. is 24 years old and averaged 24 points and 12 rebounds. Would you trade him? I don't think so....Watch for the 22nd pick..Morris Almond is still available and Josh McRoberts could be a good pro with work. (That is from a Tar Heel Fan). Of course, I would take Ga. Tech PG if he is still there, but he will be gone too.

Man, I hope so. This is just rediculous. Wright just DOES not fit

I'm an ABCer, but Wright was the right pick at that spot. He is 6-foot-10 with a 7'5" wingspan and will eventually pair with Okafor as a more offensive-minded presence down low. Re-sign Wallace and get a 2-guard (Morris Almond, Dequan Cook) at 22. I like that Mike didn't jump the gun and is building on what Bernie started.

What is an ABCer?

Charlotte Bobcats: 2008 ACC Champions. Wonder if we can make it to the Final Four?

To those bashing Wright, who would you have selected?
Posted by: Steve | Jun 28, 2007 9:46:12 PM
Wright is garbage...he will never be a presence in the NBA given that he has no strength to compete on offense or defense and has no shot outside of 6 feet, if even that (57% FT shooting!!!)

hahahaha good one kirk...i love the pick of jared dudley.....solid all around

Morris Almond (SG from Rice) was the correct pick at 22....not sure where Dudley fits when you need a legitimate two-guard (with Carroll coming off the bench) and, hopefully, you still have Wallace at small forward.

I can't agree more. I have been to two Bobcats' games in three years. The only time I really pay attention to the Johnsoncats is June.

LOL, good one dave

I think Wright and Dudley were great choices for the future. By the time, they are ready to play, Bobcats arena should have about 7 people in the stands and the Bobcats should be worth about $200 million, rather than the $300 million Johnson paid.

Wasn't this the year where all the savings that having the lowest NBA salary scale freed up come into play? Weren't we supposed to really make a dent in the free agent market? I watched some excruciatingly painful games last year, including one where we set the record for lowest scoring game. I don't see these two guys doing anything for our lousy shooting.

Marty....don't worry, its only going to get worse when Golden State hoses Charlotte with the rumored trade.

@Manny Bernstein: Free agency hasn't started yet so it's hard to make a splash before then.

MJ nice pick, whose next - Jeffrey Jordan in 2nd round.

the biggest free agent out there for us right now is gerald wallace....i really dont want to see him go he is our best competitor out there, hopefully some of dudley's fire can rub off on these tarheel scrubs

If the Bobcats trade Brandan Wright for Jason Richardson, MICHAEL JORDAN NEEDS TO BE FIRED!!!
Brandan Wright is exactly what the Bobcats need. Jared Dudley is who the Bobcats do not need. What's the difference between Dudley and Morrison or Fabio??? Three relatively unathletic, upright playing, grinders.
The Bobcats needs some size! God forbid I sit here and go through another freaking season watching Okafor struggle in the paint by himself! Screw that.
Don't be a fool, Jordan! You already blew a pick with Dudley.
