Vincent questions Harrington's availability
Othella Harrington laughed Monday at Bobcats media day, but I don’t think he was amused by what his new coach said recently.
Bobcats coach Sam Vincent questioned whether Harrington could recover from a left-knee injury to resume his NBA career. Here’s the quote:
"He really is struggling with some knee and body issues,’’ Vincent told the Observer. "I anticipate that his body has just gotten to the point where he just can’t physically do it anymore. But I’m reserving that (judgment) until I have a chance to see him and spend time with him, because he may come back in and surprise us all.’’
Harrington had another arthroscopic procedure on that knee recently, to clean out more torn cartilage. That will put him out for the preseason, but Harrington asserted Monday he intends to play and help the Bobcats.
This will be interesting. Vincent needs big men, particularly defenders. Harrington is a power forward and a fine defender when healthy. It’s obvious he’s not of a mind to retire (a decision that would likely save the Bobcats some money, via disability insurance.)

My god Bonnell you're in mid-season form. Training camp just started and you are already trying to stir some s#%* up.

I want to thank my 200 season ticket holders for their support. I will not be attending many games this upcoming season. I do not intend to help anyone but black people. I only sign white players because they are cheaper than the black ones. I only sign black coaches because they are cheaper than white ones. If anyone would like to buy the naming rights to my taxpayer paid for unnamed arena, please give mj or one of his friends a call, they know where to reach me. I will be chasing some tail now that my wife divorced my black ass, and I paid her 1 billion dollars.

What does this have to do with Brevin Knight?

WHAT is Bob talkin about? Whatever he just posted has NOTHING to do with the topic at hand. I wander if this people feel stupid after they make ignorant post or does it make them feel better after they make an ignorant post? If you dont want to support YOUR bobcats, then there are 28 other teams to support...WE DONT NEED YA!!!
O. Harrington might wanna give it up after this season. With a grueling 82 games season, how long does he expect his knee to hold up? I'd like to see the Cats get Jamarreo Davidson and Ryan H. in the mix, because this two young men have potential to help us down low.

Chan, I think you're right. These morons that get on here have to feel like idiots. Their lives are so pitiful, that the only thing that makes them feel ok is to say stuff like that on message boards. The building will be packed this year, and people will love this team. If you're sick of seeing a team like the Panthers go out and give a piss poor, lack of effort performace, go watch a Bobcats game. You will NEVER see them going through the motions. They work hard 82 nights a year.

The building will be packed my ass...they'll be lucky to average 14,000. Nobody wants to go see a drum line or a step team in downtown Charlotte. I can go to Atlanta or Durham for that any day.

Rick, it's good you made this point. Add to Harrington (who played 26 games for the Bobcats the last season) Sean May, who played a total of 58 games in his two seasons with the team. The latest news regarding these players' health (particularly their knees) are not the most encouraging. The Bobcats simply can't afford to start the new season having two
power forward spots on their roster
given to players whose availability is very questionable.

May can be really good. However I have to admit that I have almost given up on him. I suspect that he will be bothered by that knee throughout his career. Harrington should probably consider retiring. I hope Vincent gives Davidson and Hollins ample opportunity to swim or sink. They are both big and athletic and hopefully one of them will pan out. I've also pretty much given up on the Panthers. They seem to give little effort and that is not something I can appreciate. At least I know that the Bobcats are going to give me that all out effort whether they win or lose. I can support that and live with it because it will eventually pay off.

Also, don't be surprised to see Dudley play some PF and do well. He is not as athletic but really seems to have a very high IQ for the game. After playing PG this summer he can probably make contributions at four positions in a pinch. I think he is a player to watch as the season progresses.

Hey MikeyCrockProc
Go to Atlanta, I doubt Durham would want a racist right wing republiCon kkker. You sad scmuck.

Well, Dan, the sad thing is that he'll be as bothered by his knee as he wants to be. If May ever did the little things it takes to get in shape (eating right, working on his conditioning), the burden on his knees and back would be lessened significantly. I do agree that Dudley might be able to pull off some PF duty in a pinch (he's actually a little thicker and is listed at the same height as G-Force, who did a good bit of time there last season), but I wouldn't want him there in the long term.
As for you, O Mighty (anonymous) "Charlottefan", I'd suggest that attendance has nowhere to go but up, and--as such--it's been proven that the drumline "Rally Cats" approach DOESN'T work. As for being either racist, republican, or a member of the "kkk", as you put it, you somehow manage to be wrong on all three counts. I'm not racist, I'm a realist. I'm not a republican, though I sometimes vote that way (yes, I'd rather keep my money than give it to welfare or social security.) When it comes to the KKK, why be so brazen about the way they go about business when there are much more subtle ways to do things within the bounds of normal society?

I agree with you 100% Michael Procton. I show everyone that I am racist by all of my hirings and support of only minority owned businesses. We will be lucky if we have 10,000 fan a game. The only time we will have a full house is when the few stars that are still in the nba come to town and whip our behinds. If I can find someone to pay me to put their name on this unnamed building then I will consider it a successful season. Peace Black Brothers

Wow Bob Johnson, all I can say is that you are one sick pathetic little envious racist puppy.
I am glad that I lead a winning organization owned by a respectable white man. One of these days we are gonna get a win over a team that has a non-zero winning percentage. I guess this has a lot to do with Harrington's injured knee.
