Felton's move to shooting guard seems curious
It appears Jeff McInnis will start tonight against the Orlando Magic and Raymond Felton is sliding over to shooting guard. That will make the Bobcats small against the Magic, with Emeka Okafor at center and Nazr Mohammed coming off the bench. No telling whether this is a one-game experiment, possibly to match up with how well the Magic's shooters spread the floor, or if it's something more permanent. But it does seem curious, after coach Sam Vincent said this week that he needs to stop playing Felton regularly at shooting guard, and let him concentrate on being a point guard. -Rick Bonnell

Felton is an awful PG.
As crappy a coach as Vincent is, apparently even he realizes this.
But why would you bench Mohammed, when you're going against Howard? Did he not watch all the other games against Orlando, where we looked stupid on defense because their guards kept penetrating by their man, forcing Okafor to either go after them, or stick with Howard? Okafor trying to guard Howard + the rest of the Magic players are what screwed us over defensively the last few games against them.
The only thing I can think of is he's hoping if he starts smaller guys, they won't be able to drive past our guys, which means Okafor can play Howard one-on-one, but I doubt it. I'd rather just Mohammed stuck on Howard, and let Okafor worry about cleaning up the mistakes from our guards letting their men drive past them.
At the same time, Okafor doesn't do well against quick PFs, and I think Orlando starts either Lewis/Turkoglu at PF, so if Okafor is playing PF, he's forced to guard basically a SF/SG type player.
Moral of the story, Vincent is a complete moron, but having said that, he apparently still realizes Felton just ain't cutting it at PG. The quicker this team realizes Felton is destined to be a backup combo guard in this league, and starts searching for a real playmaking PG to add to this team, the better off we'll be.

And what do you mean the better off "we'll" be? When did you start playing for the team? Idiot.

I have followed your team ever since you put Adam Morrisen on but now am seeing the rassest mentality of the NBA as he is not black. Hi is probably your most vigerest player and he sit on the bench. I would expect equality from a white coach . But??? It has become a black sport only and you all have lost alot of fans because of it. I beleave in equality but it has to go both ways. Norm.
