Bobcats-Lakers observations
--Remember when the NBA toughened its rules interpretation, telling officials not to allow players to publicly show them up without drawing a technical foul?
Despite all that, Kobe Bryant gets away with far too much. In the second quarter, after he fouled Jason Richardson on a 3-pointer, knocking him to the floor, Bryant pitched a fit at referee David Jones and never heard a whistle for it.
You cheapen a sport, and undermine authority, when you allow superstars to rage on with impunity.
--What would a Lakers game be without celebrity sightings? Pamela Anderson sat along the baseline Wednesday and Nellie – rap star and part-owner of the Bobcats – sat four seats away in a team cap.
--Friday’s game against the Sonics could be the Bobcats’ last trip to Seattle, with the NBA poised to approve a relocation to Oklahoma City.

I agree with those comments about Bryant. He's an incredible player, but such a disgrace for his organization and the league.
The NBA suffers when its best player would be the most disliked person in any room. Even when Jordan got all the calls, he never whined or screamed like Kobe.
Beyond Bryant's rants in the second period, he was still frustrated through the second half.
Midway through the 4th, Bryant began to lose his temper with the following moves :
- Yelled at Phil Jackson to pull his teammate out of the game.
- Swiped at two Bobcats in the Lakers paint (no call)
- Yelled at the refs. . .
- Pulled Okafor's arm to stop an open shot (no call)
- Yelled at the refs. . . tech
- Pushed J Rich on an in-bounds play (no call)
- Swiped at Felton in the Lakers paint (no call)
- Yelled at the refs
- Hooked Wallace to get around him (no call)
- Hit Matt Carroll in the face for a 4 point play (finally a whistle)
- Kicked the ball for his second technical foul - tossed.
- Yelled at the refs
Btw, remember how he refused to play in Charlotte and had Shaq traded?

i agree with all that, however Rick, it is spelled NELLY. Just a little difference between the St. Louis rapper/former coke dealer and Don Nelson.

FINALLY...you hoodlums talking my language. This here's Seans Momma again. I been telling my baby "Don't you grow up and be like that Kobe boy. Makin' all them crazy shots. Drvin' them fancy cars. Chasin' all that white booty. Doin' that God awfull thing over some chair in a Hotel room with some sweet young thing." I tell my Baby Sean if he goin' to misbehave. Do it in the wide open! Dont let them boys make up stories about ya. Drink them Tequila Sunbeams or whatever you drink right out in the open. Keep dancing with your booty out on the dance floor till 2-3AM in Charlotte. Let 'em look! Then they dont be watchin' for ya in the dark with them cameras and such like they do with that Kobe boy. Kickin' that ball last night out in front of all them heathen fans in Los Angelos. He do that, what you think he be doin' behind closed doors? Aint gunna be nobody there to yell "Foul you fool!"
So I say, all you hoodlums on this blooger show, you just keep on lookin for my baby to be like that thug Kobe. Aint gunna happen long as his Momma's around. Why you think I tell him "Just sit yo big ass on the end of that bench and keep yo mouth SHUT!" And if I catch any of ya tryin' to take pictures of my Baby eatin' too many Ultimate Cheesburgers at Jack n' the Box or looking like he's gunna act like that Kobe boy with some young booty I swear I'll come out of them bushes and slap you so hard you head gunna land in Monroe before your ass hits the ground in Hickory! Sean's Momma gunna be watchin'!

Kobe does get crazy and the reason he doesnt get called for it is because hes the best player in the league

I stayed up last night to watch the game and I was happy I did. Steve Martin, who is usually very reserved, was really getting into the game. His disgust with Kobe's behavior made the telecast extremely hilarious. If Jason Richardson can stop turning the ball over so much, he will become an elite player in the league. His shot is erratic at times, but most of the top NBA scorers are the same way.
Felton was aggressive and he did a good job of playing PG. I really hope he can stay there for the entire season next year. He is turnover prone at times, but he always plays hard. He seems to legitimately care about the fate of the team and his overall performance. Okafor, on the other hand, really seems like he could care less at times. He may not see eye to eye with Vincent, but he owes it to himself and his teammates to play harder.

This is for Can Sam. Don't love Kobe but let's get something straight. Jordan was very disliked by his teammates. Ask Horace Grant, Steve Kerr, Jud Buechler and they never liked playing with him. He was a baby as much as Kobe and but NBA wouldn't allow it to be shown. Don't forget also, Jordan paid a woman off for 20 years before being caught and rung up by his wife for 150 million. Least Kobe stayed with his wife...And before you respond with the rape charge, the girl he slept with was cuckoo for coco puffs and that's why the rape charge was dropped. Are you trying to say Jordan never complained about calls? Kobe gets a raw deal for the Shaq thing. Kobe was ready to walk after that season and the Bulls had an agreement with him. He decided later that he didn't want to play in MJ's old stomping grounds and stayed in LA. Shaq is his own beast and he pushed things the way they went. Read Pat Riley's comments this past week if you think Kobe was the only reason Kobe-Shaq didn't work out..

Yeah Dougie, I'm sure those guys hate those 6 RINGS that Jordan earned for them.
Stop talking out of your azzzzz and go back to studying medicine, Dr. Howser.

Typical sports fan. Just because you win championships doesn't mean you are happy. People act like Kobe never won tititles, he's got 3 and he's got 3 before Jordan had 1. I hate the Jordan effect on the NBA and how noone will talk about how he's done anything wrong. The first retirement according to multiple different writers was actually a suspension due to gambling on basketball. Yet Pete Rose can't say the words Hall of Fame without getting pistol whipped. The second retirment was due to cutting his finger while cutting a cigar. He paid off a woman for 20 something years which he still has yet to admit. And a lot of his teammates hated him, why you think Horace Grant left before they won the second 3 titles. Come on Paul B, do some research before you bow to the throne.
