first question
Why would Charlotte even consider giving up Wallace to move up only 4 spots AND a draft pick? His salary is a bargain by todays standard. Also, does Memphis want us to take back Brian Cardinals contract?
I agree that giving up Wallace to move up four spots seems like a reach, and I don't think I'd make that deal, although there would be other benefits to the Bobcats. The Grizzlies would be one of the few teams that could absorb Wallace's salary without sending something back, so it would help the Bobcats' cap situation. However, if you give up Wallace, you've discarded the player you developed from the expansion draft -- essentially the Bobcats' version of Dell Curry.

So while some folks would say that the loyalty to Felton is out of nostalgia, it would seem the loyalty to Wallace is more of an example. That is if we're really worried about "trading away our Dell Curry."
That said, I'm not enamoured with that deal and think that Wallace could be packaged better.

If that move is indeed made then it will be a sad day for Charlotte. Not because of Wallace being traded, but he would essentially be traded for a player that we could get 4 spots later, or if not that same player we could get a player of equal talent 4 spots later. Pathetic trade in my opinion. I feel stupid just for even commenting about it and hope its just a rumor.

Please say it ain't so! Gerald Wallace is the heartbeat of the team. Why in the world would we trade him to move up 4 spots? What player's talent would even come close to meriting such a trade?

No, jperry.
Someone people would say the loyaly to Feltonn is out of stupidity, while the "loyalty to Wallace" stems from the fact anyone with a shred of basketball knowledge realizes how good a player he is, how valuable he is, how he's one of our best players, and how he's our best all-around player.
Only idiots like you would look at our fluke late season run and blame our sucking on Wallace, when Wallace was out most of February and it was our worst month the entire season. But of course, Felton freaks like you have grown accustomed to rationalizing the irrational.

I love how a guy who has displayed the minimal amount of basketball knowledge that you have has the nerve to call me an idiot.
BTW, 4 of those February games were McInnis led games. The Boston game that J-Rich accidentally tossed away at the buzzer was not late season. 20 games (9-11) is not a small sample size.
PS: 25 games against a chunk of teams fighting for playoff spots is not just some late season run. It's about 30% of the season, a part that we dreaded at one point. 8-4 w/ Raymond the horrible and no Wallace; 5-8 w/ Raymond the horrible and a playing Wallace. The team averaged over 10 more points a game and dwarfed the pt differential in the games w/o Wallace as opposed to with him.
Furthermore, beyond the statistics which are GLARING and the fact that every win that we had with Wallace was against someone with a significant injury besides Seattle (Portland-Roy, Lakers-Gasol, Raptors-Bosh, Heat-Wade/Marion/etc.), WATCHING the team told the story. The ball movement, the balance of scoring, and the consistent competitiveness trumped the half of the final 25 games that they had with Wallace where they got blown out by Memphis and lost to an Indy team that they later beat when they were going all out for the final playoff spot.
Teams don't play better without their best player. There was NOTHING flukish about it ol' knowledgeable one despite your resistance to accepting it. But you keep on finding ways to display your lack of rationality while calling someone else a freak.
