Lineup change would make May a reserve
Sure sounds like coach Larry Brown is leaning toward a lineup change that would make Sean May a reserve for Saturday’s home opener against the Miami Heat.
Brown said at practice Friday he’s made no final decision, but he could either go small (which would move Gerald Wallace to power forward) or start Jared Dudley as the power forward.
The matchup with the Heat is a logical one to go small, since Miami starts a small front line of Udonis Haslem at center, rookie Michael Beasley at power forward and Shawn Marion at small forward. That means Wallace wouldn’t have to guard someone who greatly outsizes him in height or bulk.
Brown didn’t say who would slip in at small forward, should Wallace play power forward, but based on the preseason and the opener against Cleveland, Adam Morrison seems the most logical candidate.

Leaning towards, there should be a certainty with that... Hell yeah put him on the bench... especially with miami going small and fast... beasley would kill may...
Morrison's hair cut has proved to be an asset for him, if only he would have cut that shit 2 years ago...

If only we could have signed Carl Landry...

I think that if the matchup allows for it, starting a smaller lineup until, or if, May gets healthy would be very beneficial for this team.
Also, I think that Adam Morrison proved through the preseason and last night that this team needs him right now. As I see it, he and Richardson are the only two players on the team right now that can create their own offense. Larry Browns best move right now, as far as the offense goes, would be to feed either Richardson or Morrison the ball whenever they're in the game. That would take the pressure off Emeka or May in the post, and would also get more open lanes for Raymond and D.J.
I think right now, the Bobcats should think twice before trading Morrison.

Come on guys. Don't be so mean. We know Sean is trying hard and he cares.

Uh oh, the Morrison haters are receding. As long they play the right way i'll be happy.

Bro D.,
Must say that I have never been a Morrison hater.

Caleb, I wasn't pointing fingers, just saying in general. We are overdue for Procton's Felton hate-parade though.

Bro. D, noted.
Yeah, I guess that Procton's out parading around as a Pokemon or something otherwise we wouldn't be able to get a word in edgewise.
My thought on Felton is that he's WAY overthinking it, trying to impress his new daddy.

Yeah, if Felton would just penetrate and facilitate the offense he'd be pretty good. Why can't we just trade Carroll for Tyrus Thomas and Cedric Simmons or something along those lines? They'd get someone who can shoot who's taller than 6'3" and we'd have two bigs not named Sean May that can rebound.

trade may and morrison for milicic and crittenton. send felton and shannon brown to new york for duhon in december when they are eligible to be traded. this will give larry brown his disciplined defensive oriented team, plus each player is a REALISTIC tradable move that will benefit the team in the long run.

Won't happen because Carrol's contract is bloated for someone with his skillset. It would take a lot more than Carrol to get someone like Tyrus Thomas.
Posted by: Caleb | Oct 31, 2008 9:04:50 PM
larry, no one is going to want any combination of May and Morrison no matter if the contracts work out or not. They're both damaged goods looking to prove themselves. Right now, neither of them, especially May, has any trade value.

Trust me, the upside of Tyrus Thomas is falling fast enough that a Carroll for Thomas swap isn't that far-fetched, plus Chicago has zero 3 pt shooters outside of maybe Nocioni and Ben Gordon. I don't know how many times I saw Rose and Hinrich drive and kick out to the perimeter only to have a bricked 3.

hi name is rasheed go get rasheed wallace

I changed my mind. Seeing that May is less capable than some of the Janitorial Staff, we need to 'cut' our losses and just move on. No offence intended to the Janitorial Staff, many of them are in game shape.
