MRI says Wallace is fine

The magnetic resonance imaging on Gerald Wallace's left knee was negative for any ligament damage. They're now describing the injury as a bone bruise with some twisting of the joint.

Wallace is at practice, but working out on an exercise bike, rather than cutting and running. He figures to be fine for Friday's road game against the  Toronto Raptors.

As always Rick, you are the absolute best at filtering out info as quickly as possible. Thanks so much and absolutely fantastic news for Gerald and the 'Cats!

Gerald's not made of Kevlar- he's made of rubber!! And, not that cheap crumbly rubber- I'm talking high grade, "Super Ball" rubber! Thrilled to hear all is well! Go Bobcats!!!

Keep up the good work, getting us the REAL important info we need. Find out what's the deal with them signing a D-League player on a 10 day and then not activating him when they could EASILY sit Nazr (not May, 3-4 min per game is good for him right now to build towards next season)

GERALD WALLACE is a stud. He needs to be an ALL-STAR next year to be rewarded for all his hard work over the past five years. I was at the game last night, sitting about 6 rows from the court and Gerald got fouled at least three or four times right in front of the official and no call was made !! I would be extremely upset if I was LB or Gerald ! This team has to win the next four games in order to stay in the playoff hunt. They are games that they should win and another 6-game winning streak would be awesome !!! Also looking forward to seeing every seat filled in Time Warner Cable Arena on March 31st versus the LAKERS !!! GO BOBCATS !!!!!!!!!

I really hope there are more Bobcat supporters in the crowd than Laker fans when LA comes to the QC. Its really annoying to hear people cheer when the Lakers are beating the Cats. I have been to the Charlotte/LA games the last few years. Hopefully, the Cats will sweep them.

Nice work, Bonnell.

Nah, I'd say Gerald is made of Star plastic. Anyone? Anyone?

Good news but insignificant, Bulls are hot, no way for us to catch them now.. Hello Bobcats 10th pick 1st round 2009 draft.

1 1/2 games behind Chicago for that last playoff spot. Anybody think they CAN'T do it ?

Posted by: nasty704 | Mar 20, 2009 7:32:39 AM

We play Chicago once more in the regular season I believe and own the tiebreaker over them. So, if we win that game, we are only 1/2 a game behind them. They have more home games left, but I wouldn't give in just yet.

nasty, I don't think anybody would say they CAN'T do it. But they'll need 9-5 the rest of the way. The schedule will make it possible, but in addition, they need to make sure they play with not only consistent effort, but consistent execution of the gameplans. Further, just one game missed due to injury by any of our significant players could be the difference between in and out, and Augustin, Bell, Wallace, and Okafor have all had injury concerns of some sort or another this season.

procton, for all your fussing and complaining, I'd forgotten that you cared at all about this team beyond wishing they'd cut any tar heel ties.

I just figured you'd rather they always stink so that you could continue to blame it all on felton.

Procton, Emeka hasn't missed a game - 68 games and 68 starts.

"they need to make sure they play with not only consistent effort, but consistent execution of the gameplans."

Woah!! Put him on ESPN! Haha no shit, is that what they need to do, Procton?

I understand that, Yeah, but he did have a back issue that threatened to sit him a couple weeks ago, and he had some stuff earlier in his career.
