Henderson, Williams back for 2nd workout
The Charlotte Bobcats have convincecd shooting guards Gerald Henderson and Terrence Williams to come in today for a combined second workout, one more strong indication how serious the Bobcats are about selecting one of them with the 12th pick.
Williams told Nets writers Friday that he was done with workouts, but obviously the Bobcats' interest in him swayed the situation.

Either player has the potential to instantly contribute; however trading the pick to get rid of some salary cap and possibly getting a decent veteran and picking a bit
later may not be a bad option.

still hoping for Williams over Henderson...

I'd go with Williams also, neither will be a star but Williams is the better defender and rebounder.

The Bobcats have to get a player, like last year's DJ Augustin, who will be a consistent contributor for years to come. Either starting or lots of minutes off the bench. Their draft history has been very poor -- Okafor and Felton are the only draft-pick starters

Check out the rating of shooting guards on draftexpress.com. Using a variety of statistical variables, Terrence Williams comes out very nicely. Well above Gerald Henderson. He's not a great shooter yet, but he's a fantastic defender and a great passer. Wallace, Diaw, and Okafor will all really benefit from his presence in LB's system.

Agreed. I think Felton is the superior PG, but DJ at full time back up PG with Williams as a running mate would help a lot. DJ could spend more time roaming around the perimeter with an SG that can facilitate like that.
I still think we trade the pick though. LB wants to win now, and I think we pick up a vet.

Just watched some of T-Will's highlights over on YouTube - for those of you who haven't seen much of him, do yourself a favor and check out the clips.
Williams is a RIDICULOUS athlete. Combine that with his supposed quirky personality and he could be a kind of Artest-light. I'm warming up to the idea of Williams over Henderson though GH is much more polished and a year younger. 'Cats have a tough decision ahead of them.

I'm fine with either, but Henderson is the better shooter and is MUCH better at the FT line. Henderson could develop into a starter that gives us offensive production with his defense. Williams will be a terror to go up against, will rebound, and still lose games because of his poor shooting. I lean toward Henderson, but also like T-Will a lot there.

Slobcat,
Not to mention Williams's rebounding. Per-minute-pace-adjusted, Williams rates as the best in rebounding, steals, AND assists among the SG prospects. In addition he's right behind Henderson as the best shotblocker. The both have a lot to offer, but I like T-Will as a 3-position athlete. There's just no doubt he belongs on an NBA court, given his across-the-board dominance in those main "athlete" stats.
