« Bobcats look pointless | Main | Chandler appears out vs. Pacers »

Looks like Chandler is out tonight

It's almost certain that neither the Chalotte Bobcats, nor the Milwaukee Bucks, will have its starting center tonight.

Milwaukee's Andrew Bogut is out 2-4 weeks with a left leg injury. And Charlotte's Tyson Chandler (back spasms) sat out shootaround this morning.

Chandler said there's a "slight'' chance he could play if he wakes up from an afternoon nap feeling dramatically better. But even that sounded optimistic. He's talking as if the goal is to play Sunday versus the Pacers.

I asked coach Larry Brown if he'd start Nazr Mohammed in Chandler's absence. Brown said that's contingent on what the Bucks do; if they start a conventional center, Mohammed would start. If the Bucks go small, that would give the Bobcats the choice to do likewise (which I assume could mean starting Boris Diaw at center and Gerald Wallace and Stephen Jackson in the frontcourt).

It will be interesting to see what Brown does with the inactives if Chandler can't play. Could be point guard Acie Law's first chance to suit up as a Bobcat.

What's the situation with Desagana Diop?

Please suggest to Tyson that he see a Chiropractic Orthopedist ASAP!

I hope brown will give Ajinca some pt, just a little so we can see what he can do, if anything. I think he would get better with some actual playing time.

Might not be a bad thing. Lets see what Nazr can do... Hopefully he won't notch two fouls in the first 5 min like Chandler is good at doing.

I am just gald Rick is not doing any more stories about sean may.

Perhaps a cardiologist would be more appropriate.

We got this one tonight. "Captain Jean" Luc Richard is out tonight, the big kangaroo is out tonight. Redd's gonna look rusty even if he plays. Let's turn five stupid turnovers into 10 points. Guards-hit every free-throw. Let's Go Cats!

Is there a reason Ajinca is not getting any minutes at all? He played well in the preseason and even got a little PT last year.

Nazr should be starting anyway. He has earned it. The only thing Chandler has earned is a reputation for nagging injuries and early foul trouble.

Why can't they get rid of Chandler. He hasn't done much. Bobcats need 3 point shooters.

Unfortunately, they have a lot of 3 point shooters. None of them are any good, but they sure can shoot em. Have2650 - Cardiologist comment had me rolling. He could also use a new set of hands.

We need to tell Brown that this is the Center player (Chandler) he wanted...... and he's playing very badly.....Brown should be fire and replace with either Byron Scott or Avery Johnson. This is my honest opinion and I hope whoever hired him will see reason that he's not doing a good job.

I think Bob Johnson made the Okafor - Chandler trade. If Chandler can get his back right and learn where to be on the court and when to expect a pass he will be very good. The fouls are primary due to him being out of position without other players available to help. I am willing to give Chandler some more time to prove himself. His missed preseason and hasn't had a lot of time to develop chemistry with his teammates.

Nothing to say... I agree!
Keep shooting them 3's, when you can't even hit Free throws. IF YOU CAN'T HIT FREE THROWS(FREEEEE THROWS!!!!!), I FEEL SURE YOU CAN HIT 3'S?????? What are we all the sudden the Magic trying to rain 3's? We can barely make a layup!
LB is on the sideline not out of his mind about the 3's. Are the Bobcats on there way out of Charlotte? Something seems fishy.. This team is not this bad. Not 7 loses in a row. Last season trying for the playoffs and now this? If we had John Fox coaching I could see it... Because bobcats have there own Delhomme(felton).

if they lose 3 more games to make this a 10 game losing streak.....and they still don't bring iverson in....I give up.

the players are playing their worst basketball. felton, augustin, diaw, etc. these guys aren't that bad but they're playing HORRIBLE. i absolutely can't believe augustin this year. can't effin believe it.

I agree 110%!

Here is my Question!
Trying to figure Out the B-cats... Knowing we have one of the best coaches in a long time(hall of fame). Seeing where his last stay was and now. Is LB in his Aging years... to analytical/paticiular about every fase of the game, not letting these guys have fun?? Burning these guys out, basically? We have a good team, A blue collar team with no big star, but a hard working team. You hear LB constantly Yelling " GOOOOO!!!", When we are running down the floor. Seems there is not much Praise when doing something well(my opinion). People say he is always teaching... that is great but if you never get an "Atta Boy!" to go with the hard work.
Look I'm NOT bitching(who would NOT ask for a hall of fame coach to be with your team)... I'm just trying to figure out, what is wrong with a potentially good team, Underacheiving!
I could only wish Fox was more critical of the panthers(like LB), rather than stand there and clap, like everything is OK!
