Bobcats could miss 2 starters

It's possible the Charlotte Bobcats will play the Orlando Magic Saturday minus starters Raymond Felton and Gerald Wallace.

Felton sprained his right ankle in the first quarter of Friday's loss to the Atlanta Hawks, and Wallace aggravated a left ankle sprain he suffered earlier in the week. Felton appears to be the more severe injury. He tried to convince coach Larry Brown to let him play in the second half, but Brown wouldn't give in.

That's what I was worrying about when Gerald made a quick return to action after spraining his ankle: aggravating the injury.
Gerald has real mental toughness, he and Raymond are always ready to play through pain, but the flip side of this is always the risk of aggravating injuries.
What the Bobcats will achieve in the second half of the season depends a lot on Raymond's and Gerald's contributions, since they are two of the team's three most important players. I know that asking for "full recovery" from such injuries in the middle of the season might be too much, it's not realistic, but RUSHING the return to action is not a good idea either. That's why I hope they'll take some time to let those ankles get better - rather than play hobbled by injuries and risk getting them even worse.

They'll both play, of that I have no doubt. They may not play as much, but they'll find a way to play.

Every team has injuries, but what makes a team great, is the ability to have players step up for the players that are injured. I think we're a great team, one of the best in the East; Felton and Wallace can take time off if they need to, and we'll still find a way to win. GO BOBCATS!

Is Wallace good to go? Cats lose by 50 at home without Wallace he will play tonight.

From Twitter account of mikecranston1 #Bobcats' Larry Brown on Felton's ankle: "Came in early. Steve said it wasn't as bad as he thought. We'll just see how he does (in warmups)

XXXXXX
with no mention of GW, I would assume he's playing again also.

They will be able to rebound during the all-star break coming up. but it will be even more questionable with GW playing in the Slam Dunk Contest, now then he could make it worst
