Felton, Chandler plan to play

Injured Charlotte Bobcats Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton both plan to play tonight against the Washington Wizards, although Chandler might be the safer bet of the two.

Felton sprained his right ankle at practice Monday and he showed up at shootaround Tuesday morning with some swelling in the joint. Felton said he'll play, but coach Larry Brown said he'll wait until gametime, to make sure Felton can be effective. Felton is generally one of the tougher Bobcats when it comes to playing with pain.

Chandler (stress reaction in his left foot) hasn't played since late December. He went through shootaround fine and he and Brown both said he should be active versus the Wizards. It seems unlikely Chandler would start or play long minutes since he's obviously lost game conditioning from six weeks of inactivity.

So Rick....you're not even going to give me a thank you for giving you a heads up on Jordan's situation with the Bobcats?

i'm looking forward to tyson returning to replace diop in the rotation because obviously that's an upgrade and we're already paying the guy. i bet he probably needs to sit out this year to be 100% healthy but i think he knows his career is basically over if he does that.

More time for Chandler means less Diop free throws... And that's a very good thing!

I just hope the refs. give Chandler an oppurtunity to play. I'm scared as soon as both shoes cross The In Line they will blow the whistle, just because he's on the court.

dave that's exactly what i thought. if chandler hits 1 of every 2 free throws thats 1 more than we were getting out of diop.
