Felton rolls his ankle

Charlotte Bobcats starting point guard Raymond Felton sprained his right ankle at practice Monday, when he stepped on a teammate's foot in a drill.

Felton left the court in a protective boot and his status for Tuesday's home game against the Washington Wizards is uncertain. However, Felton has a high pain threshold and hates sitting, so if anyone will give it a try, it's Felton.

The Bobcats are still undecided whether to activate center Tyson Chandler, who's been out since early December with a stress reaction in his left foot. Chandler fully practiced Monday. If Chandler does play, it's unlikely he'd play long minutes Tuesday and it sounds like Nazr Mohammed would continue to start, at least for now.

Hope Felton gets well soon and I'd leave Tyson on the bench through All-star game...we gain another week of rest by giving up would what would probably amount to 15-20 minutes of playing time in the next two games combined.

I think the loss @ Atlanta showed us just how much we need Raymond on the court.

We should find a way to pack Tyson and someone else for a good backup who can play for Diaw when he decides not to show up.

If he's out, I hope Law gets a chance a some playing time. I'd really like our coaching staff to evaluate his role in game time (not garbage minutes) and compare that to what DJ's been doing. BTW, SI is reporting that NY is interested in Acie Law because they need a PG. They feel that Nate Robinson is more of a SG. Exactly what I've been saying about DJ, except I think DJ would do well up in NY with Dantoni's system. If they did trade for Law, we could get either Bender or Jeffries in return for a back-up PF. Although both of those seem more like warm bodies to me. Doubt it, but maybe we could talk them out of Jordan Hill? .... As far as Chandler, if he's healthy, get him on the court so he can start getting in shape. We all know how long that could take so the sooner he gets started (if healthy) the better.

BTW, for Jordan Hill, I know we'd have to give up more than Law. I doubt he would be given up in a trade regardless though seeing as he was their #8 first round pick. Maybe a combination of DJ and somebody, but even then I doubt it.

Time for DJ and Diaw to step up if Felton/Tyson still can't play this week. If they can't start playing decent ball (DJ has recently shown signs he is getting back to his ole self), it's time to ship them both out for a good PF.

Diaw's play is just inexcusable...he's been starting through the entire season, and only has a handful of games he has actually played decently. His erractic play sticks out like a sore thumb when it comes to the W-L column, and I think when it comes to playoffs, he will be the X factor in deciding whether we get in and if we do, whether we can make noise.

If that Jason Thompson, Carlos Boozer trade talk is really true, the Bobcats need to visit those NOW and get either one of them on this team. Either of those will be the next Stephen Jackson steal, as long as it's not Gerald Wallace or Stephen Jackson involved in those trade talks.

Who is Keith Lee? The only Keith Lee I know of hasn't played since 1989. If you mean David Lee, good luck making that trade...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Needed a good laugh. The statement in itself isn't so funny, but the idea of a motivated S. May... *sigh*

Jordan Hill will be a good and cheap option for the Bobcats. He is a big body (6-10), and strong. However, there is no reason to trade anything more than Acie Law for Hill. That trade, straight up Law for Hill will work perfect and it will be beneficial for everyone; the teams and the players.

The Cats need a backup PF and Hill is nothing more than that; the Knicks need a decent temporary PG and Law is exactly that, the salaries work great and no team is hurting theor financial stability because of it.

Felton/DJ
Jackson/Flip/Henderson
Wallace/Brown/Graham
Diaw/Hill/Ajinca*
Chandler/Nazr/Diop

* Inactive: D-League (Injured)

That would allow us to make some noise in the Playoffs, plus it gives us insurance (DJ) in case Flip and/or Felton go away at the end of next season. I would like for both of them to resign and I think is their best option right now, but you never know.

last sean may sighting...sunday....4 of 5 8 points 2 boards in 8 minutes. everybody that knows basketball dreams of a motivated sean may. a motivated sean may makes more than 800k per year. a motivated sean may puts up 32 on dwight howard. a motivated sean may could solve our power forward problem. a motivated sean may won ncaa tourney player of the year. a motivated sean may would make chuck norris jokes look foolish.

a motivated sean may is like a unicorn. and we could use a backup unicorn.
