Bobcats release guard Javaris Crittenton

The Charlotte Bobcats have waived guard Javaris Crittenton, the team announced today. In four preseason games, he averaged 3.3 points,, 1.8 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

Seemingly, this improves the chances of undrafted rookie Sherron Collins (Kansas) making the roster as the team's third point guard.

Hey Rick,

Hope all is well. Well, with JC gone and Livingston not see any action yet, do you sense a bit of panic around the team, front office, or coaches to try and get something else done before the regular season begins. It sounds like Carmelo Anthony is making noise in Dever again about wanting to be moved. I know he wouldn't necessarily like to play in Charlotte, but perhaps the previously rumored multi-team deal could be resurrected. Any rumblings of this or some other major deal in the works. Thanks as always.
