Charlotte Bobcats' Augustin out tonight vs. Washington Wizards
Charlotte Bobcats point guard D.J. Augustin will miss his second straight game with tendinitis in his right knee Monday night against the Washington Wizards.
“I’m just trying to get it good. But I’m definitely out tonight,’’ Augustin told the Observer as he left morning shootaround.
Augustin has been hampered by the injury for several weeks. Coach Paul Silas suggested recently that the injury was affecting Augustin’s shooting and ability to score off the pick-and-roll. Silas has recently been starting rookie Kemba Walker in Augustin’s absence.
Initially Augustin was sitting out practices to manage the injury. Now he’ll miss his second straight game.
“I’d never had tendinitis before. It’s hard to play through – it really hurts. So I’m trying to rest it,’’ Augustin said. “Hopefully I’ll be able to test it in Cleveland tomorrow night. See how it goes from there.’’

He may as well sit out the rest of the season.no sense in causing further injury.

I'd like to see him get healthy and finish the season strong if even for only 5 games. Him being hurt has left a ton of doubt regarding the pg position and what he is and isnt worth in a contract extension. He should have cemented himself this year with the lack of veterans but instead he's been hurt a bunch.
We are almost to the point where we can win without it mattering draft wise. We want to win as many as possible within that frame.
