Reggie Miller: Never talk trash to Michael Jordan
Former Indiana Pacers guard Reggie Miller goes into the basketball Hall of Fame Friday. Miller was one of the greatest shooting guards ever, but wasn't the best of his generation, thanks to the presence of now-Charlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan.,
NBA TV did a special on Miller's career, and he talked extensively about his rivalry with then-Chicago Bull Jordan.
"We weren't friends,'' Miller recalled. "He might have been the one player that I didn't talk (trash) to on the floor because he may have been the one player that could really embarrass you.
"I wanted what he had. He was the best, he had the championships.
"Our games were vastly contrast. He was more power and dunking. Mine was more shooting finesse But for some reason, I think my style irritated him because I was in constant motion.''
NBA TV's Miller special will run several more times before his induction Friday night.

I remember him dropping 50 on the Hornets back in the day.

he is a lot classier guy than Jordan, that is for sure.
I doubt he mocks people from high school during his induction speech like Air J. One of the most arrogant talks i've ever seen.

hated that guy when he played. I mean HAAAAAAAATED him. cocky as hell, and insanely good. But he's an awesome announcer and looking back on his old games, he was much better than he appeared to of been in michael's shadow.
If he were playing right now, he'd be in that lebron, kobe, durant discussion. 2 finals appearances or just one? those count for something too. Not near as much but they count. He wasn't just putting up numbers on bad teams, very iverson-like resume.

Reggie Miller doesn't belong in the HOF. His numbers aren't good enough. He has too many empty spots in his career. The HOF should be reserved for the elite player...not just someone who was a terrific shooter and had a few great playoff moments. The HOF is being diminished by letting in players who were just average or slightly above average. If they keep voting in these type of players, than the elite players should have their own wing. Reggie should not be located in the same area of the Hall with Michael Jordan.

^^^ clearly never saw miller play, nor knows how to read a resume.
14th all time in points
top 100 career ppg.
2nd all-time in 3's to ray allen (retired in 1st)
12th alltime in WS metric. you look at that list......
5 time all-star during a time that spanned from the jordan/bird/dumars eastern conference to the iverson/carter/stackhouse/allen/mcgrady era.
15 playoff appearances in 18 seasons as the best player on a small market team. 2 of the 3 years he missed the playoffs were his first 2 seasons in the league. how does that not constitute elite?
something like 6 conference finals appearances? that's mediocre now? because he lost in the conference finals to teams with guys like shaq, ewing, and jordan? ewing has a VERY comparable career.....is he not a hall of famer?
all those game winning shots? dude is the epitome of what you want from a hall of famer. only 1 guy wins the ring every year so if you're in the top 4 or 5 every year......doesn't that put you in the top 40 or 50 all-time when you do it for 15+ years? and jordan won 6 rings during your career and kobe/shaq another 3? and you played in indiana?
what are you going to say about durant if he stays in OKC and they can't afford to keep harden and dump ibaka and he and westbrook can't get it done? lebron didn't win in cleveland and they had far better teams than reggie did in indiana.
and i'm saying all of this after HAAAAAAAAAAAAATING this dude his entire career. but hating him because he was that good.

Yo big gulps...(and tiny brain), as they say in Forrest Gump, "ARE YOU STUPID OR SOMETHING?" You should go over to Selwyn Pub and tell MJ that to his face you cowardly twit. Can't go? I didn't think so pussycat.
