Charlotte Bobcats center Al Jefferson might not play tonight
There’s a very real possibility the Charlotte Bobcats will play the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight without center Al Jefferson.
Jefferson was limping and couldn’t participate in Friday-morning shootaround. Jefferson played against the Houston Rockets Wednesday after missing about three weeks with a sprained right ankle.
Coach Steve Clifford said it would be a game-time decision whether Jefferson is available to play.

His ankle was sore, but I don't think he was limping before the Houston game, was he?
This should serve as a lesson in aggravating a player's injury, by bringing him back on court too soon.
Please Coach, let Big Al get healthy (and that doesn't look like a one game issue only).

or is jefferson part of a supreme tanking strategy? pay the big name guy so that it doesn't look like you're tanking intentionally......and then he just plays such horrible defense that we lose more than we would without him. but he's good enough offensively to confuse and placate the ignorant fan base. 2 year deal and then he bolts for a 3 year deal elsewhere or is traded.
conspiracy theory? or is rich cho THAT level of genius.
he looked rusty offensively and probably out of game shape, but i didn't see him favoring his ankle the way a severe sprain would make one do. not noticeably. definitely still a possibility though.
as worried as i can be for kyrie.....i'm equally as worried about newly right handed tristan thompson. easily the most under reported story of the nba this year. 22 year old dude just decides this summer to start shooting right handed instead of left handed. and goes 8 for 13 in game one. they have an odd situation on their hands with waiters/thompson/bennett supporting irving. just doesn't seem like any of them fit at all.
i would take irving over rose any day right now. with or without rose's injury. If we're picking PG's to build a franchise around....i don't think there's a better pick in the league except MAYBE rubio or curry.

Cltn, get real. MJ amnestied Tyrus and cost himself millions in the process. He wouldn't have done that if he was trying to "tank" as you believe. Save your long winded nonsense. This team was put together to win, and win NOW.

this team was build to win and win now?
serious dude? are they going to finish ahead of miami? indiana? chicago? new york? brooklyn? cleveland? detroit? milwaukee?
with al playing defense? right. this team is built to win and win later. 2015 and onward.
they amnestied thomas because jeff adrien on a minimum contract was outplaying him. amnestying him freed up a roster spot and cap flexibility not just this summer but next summer too.
