Tonight might haunt the Hornets all season

Three takeaways from the Charlotte Hornets’ huge road loss to the Washington Wizards:

Haunting: Al Jefferson said the Hornets might be “haunted’ by this loss all summer. Big Al is a stand-up guy and I get what he means.

Mo Williams came up big: A day removed from missing practice with a sore knee, Williams was a rebound short of a triple-double. Sure, it was a double-overtime game, but that is impressive.

Gerald Henderson is balling:  Henderson had a career-high 14 rebounds Friday. Meanwhile Lance Stephenson played 12 minutes.

Even with how bad this team is (yes injuries are a factor) they still have had so many chances to win games at the end. Their late game execution is the worst I have seen. This coach is a strange. Games when Al is off he forces it to him non stop. Games when he is hot, he doesn't even call his number late in the game and ot when the player gaurding him has 5 fouls. It's almost like he didn't know Gortat was in foul trouble.

Mo Williams didn't come up that big - he went 8-26 from the field and turned it over 4 times, including a critical one in OT - Al's injury and lack of mobility are a liability on D and fast breaks, playoffs are a pipe dream this year.

Why was Al even in that last in-bound play? Certainly not the three point shooter that was needed. Kemba is a different person since returning from injury...either some physical thing or perhaps mental chip on shoulder about Mo's success. Just not the same aggressive, competitive person he was first of season.

There's always next year.

Since returning from injury kemba , in 9 games , is 39-122. Minus the Minnesota game (11-24 ) he is 28-98 , in 8 games. Is this the guy you want taking the go-ahead or winning shot at the end of games? That 4 year extension is the biggest mistake the hornets could possibly have made.

What do you mean Bonnell by you understand what al means? Is he opting out? Starting to negotiate? Being negative about obtaining free agents? Who was he talking to anyhow? Who are you talking to anyhow? Are you a news writer, opinion writer, or gossip columnist?

I'm a Wizards fan, but honestly, the Hornets deserve some respect here. They played a helluva game last night on the road, and except for Wall suddenly finding a fifth gear, it would have gone their way. Al Jefferson and Mo Williams always give us fits. Here's hoping your guys get that 8 spot and then knock off ATL--you know we all hate that team!

The things that bothers me the most about the Hornets is that they have a team that is built to run, but the play at a snail's pace. They don't have the shooters to play the offense Clifford wants. The Hornets are their own worse enemy by Clifford not coaching to the players he has.

I told you fools....The Promises will never be delivered upon as long as Air Minimum is at the wheel.

There's no place like Boobland, there's no place like Boobland, there's no place like Boobland... (chant of the slurpers)

Nastar and truth go together like peanut butter and Hitler. He left?

Thanks to Atlanta for keeping us alive longer to make sure vonleh doesn't get a few games in before summer.

How do you guys feel about the word slurper? You may have noticed, I kind of like it.

Had Al played his usual minutes , they would have lost to scrubs . They went at him just like starters . Limit him to 15 mn a game . Scrubs went at him . He gives up 15 points a game on DEfense .

Kemba . The guy won't stop shooting . He will do anything to keep his average up . He took 19 shots . Missing 12 . Lol. This is a typical game . Against scrubs mind you .

Let the offense run thru Hendo who will make the correct decision . He scores well if not saddled by Al . We scored 115 points . We play faster wo Al . The ball moves better and finds a better shot . The best reason PER is a joke is Al n Kemba have The best PERS on the team .
