Fasani works out for Detroit

Remember Randy Fasani? Yeah, he's the quarterback that "retired'' from the Panthers a few years ago.

Apparently, he's trying to make a comeback. Fasani worked out for the Detroit Lions recently. In another sign that Jon Kitna's job is very safe, Stefan LeFors, who was cut by the Panthers in the preseason, also got an audition.

What has happened to the Panther running game? You can't run up against the rump of a lineman and expect to gain any/much yardage, but that was about all the running I saw in the last two games. Whatever happened to the end-around plays, or the shovel-pass then around the end? I'll remain a Panther fan but I'd sure like to see some better running.

Why is it that these Panther haters are the most illiterate bunch in the group? Is there a connection between their grasp of the language and their ability to evaluate a team?

He didn't retire from the Panthers, he signed with the Jets and Bills.
