Coaching rumors bogus

Hate to even glorify the rumors that fly without attribution on the internet. But there's one that's spinning out of control and it needs to be put to rest. Checked it out last night and, after the laughter of one of the parties alledgedly involved stopped, found out that a high-ranking Panthers official did not have lunch with a defensive coordinator from another team Tuesday.

In related news, John Fox is still under contract as coach of the Carolina Panthers.

Just wondering if you thought the Panthers should hire a new D-Coordinator given the lack of enthusiasm and overall effort our overhyped D displayed this season.
Please don't be a company man, changes need to be made, hope the decision makers have the guts to make them!
PS---could the observer quit kissing JPeppers ass, he is the 2nd most overrated player in the NFL, behind MVick.

Julius Peppers is 2nd most overrated in the NFL? More overrated than T.O.? More overrated than Fred Smoot, or Jeremy Shockey, or Walter Jones, or Dante Hall? Dude, Pep isn't the 2nd-most overrated player ON THE PANTHERS' ROSTER.

Seriously, Red, what are you smoking, and where can I get some?

I want some too. Julius is one of the best atheletes on our team. Take any of the top defensive ends in the league, double team him with a chip block thrown in and see if he has anything close to the year Pep had.

As far as coaching, I would like to see Henning either change his offensive plan based on the players he has to work with or replaced. The special teams coaching staff really needs to be looked at.

Peppers compiles stats, never actually makes a play that matters. Pep barely made a tackle during the final month of the season. He had a reputation of taking plays off in college and hasn't proved anyone wrong. Wake up boys, drop the unc homer talk. I would challenge you to find him being double teamed the last half of the season. Thats Foxy talk to cover his ass. Be sure to actually watch our games not get caught up in stats and hype.

I will admit there may be more overrated players in the nfl but he happens to be on the team I pull for.

I cringe everytime an idiot announcer babbles about our tremendous, great, dominate defensive line. its a joke!

"Wake up boys, drop the unc homer talk."

You can pretty much quit listening to red after that, there is his bias.

Whatever happened this past season lets hope is that----Past--and a new season coming up that will in no way have any appearances in any way similar. We cannot judge our best players on what took place.

Hopefully we can get back to some good football.....although I often wonder just what the...happened out there!!!!!
