Walker looks like a fallback
A few quick items between doing laundry and packing for Spartanburg:
-- I’ve been getting a lot of e-mails asking if the Panthers are going to sign offensive tackle Kenyatta Walker, who visited with them Tuesday. As of now, nothing’s happened. The word is Walker had a good workout and remains on the radar. The Panthers probably will go to camp with what they’ve got and keep Walker in mind if they aren’t happy with what they see from their backups or if they have any injuries.
-- Indications are there’s a very real chance of rookie linebacker Jon Beason holding out. The sides are far apart on his contract talks. Unless there is dramatic change between now and Saturday morning, Beason might not be on the practice field. As reported in today’s paper, second-round picks Ryan Kalil and Dwayne Jarrett are closing in on contracts.
-- I’ll be appearing on the Bill Rosinski Show today (610 AM in Charlotte) at 11 a.m.

I don't know why it should be so hard to Sign Benson. Everybody around him are signing contract around the same money.

Uh. We just got a report that Jeremy Bridges was arrested for pointing a gun.
Go 'head and sign up K-Walk. We know how the Big Cat handles this stuff.
