one thing the panthers CAN do is win an ugly game

Posted by: gopatterns | Sep 23, 2007 7:25:41 PM

Hey Matt A it sounds like you are going to cry because the guy you have a mancrush on went out. No one is here bashing him so go worship your Delhomme shrine a little more stalker

David Carr finished the game and made some really nice throws. Third and 1 and we pass? What a joke. That is what I call trying to lose the game.

I have nothing personal against Jake Delhomme. But this is his nightmare. David Carr looked crisp and in control of the offense. He made a perfect throw to Colbert and didn't cause any turnovers. If Jake is out a while and Carr continues to play well, this might have been his last start with the Panthers. And I say this will due respect for all the heart and soul he's given this team.

Carr showed he's a capable backup to Delhomme. I liked what I saw out there today. My worries are with the defense particularly the front four. I love my panthers but it kills me to see us in that cover 2 defense. It just looked wide open out there for the Falcons. Peppers was a none factor again today, thats 2 weeks in a row. We have to find a way to get him going to help that secondary out. Come on Pep baby get hype, get mad. Show these people your the best DE in the league.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but an injury to Jake is that last thing the Panthers need right now! He has been doing well over-all in the first three games this season. Whether or not it's the first time in his career is really beside the point. From what I've seen from Carr on paper and the preseason, coupled with Delhomme's performance so far this year, this injury could be bad news for the boys in blue.

Yea Jake has really been on, dude he had a bad game before he was hurt, I have never seen a guy like that play so inconstent and throw more TD from the 10 yard line.

I am NOT happy Jake got hurt BUT from what I saw tonight David Carr is goping to be more then just fine, the "Boys in Blue" now have a multi dementional QB that will make plays with his feet and arm.

Patty & Stan,
When you check out of the Holday Inn, please tell the bozos who run this newspaper that the poll about who should be the starting qb is F*@# Ridiculous. This is nothing short of LOW CLASS to start the ole QB controversy....Jake has been a positive representative of the organization and is having a great season. Its nice to see this poor excuse for a newspaper has such a high perception of the Panthers fanbase.

OK can someone please tell me WUT DA HELL IS WRONG WIT PEPPERS..he had some good hurries but once again no sacks..i LUV Pep..but he needs to be more aggressive

The Bucs are coming to town to kick your tails. Your secondary stinks! Giving up over 300 yds to the Joey Harrington? Our defense shut down the Saints and the Rams! It will have no problem against your weak offense. Bucs 34 Panthers 3

Fox and staff showed their raw stupidity again today by continuing to stick to stupid gameplans, we should have lost that game but for some even more ignorant play by that punk DeAngelo Hall. Throwing on 3rd and 1 on several occasions, what the heck are they thinking? It didnt work all of last year, hasnt worked this year, why keep doing it? Running up the middle, are you kidding me? The few times they threw long they made the plays, but they almost never threw long and challenged the secondary. And why, oh tell me why, is Nick "touchback" Goings still doing kickoff returns?
Fox is going to be lucky to keep his job, he better be kissing Foster and King's ring fingers for this win, they won the game despite the stupidity behind the playcalling.

Get prepared for a righteous butt whoopin next weekend! The Panthers won't even get 3 points.

Didn't I tell you guys that Jake is a pansies? We almost lost to a TERRIBLE falcons team. We can't stop Joey Harrington? Are you kidding? I told you guys all week that our defense is not very good and it showed today by giving up over 400 yards! Now the Bucs are coming and they're hot right now.

Here comes the pain. Tampon Bay 13 - Carolina 31. Please leave those ugly women at home this year, they scared my kids last year.

Posted by: Dr. Peppers | Sep 24, 2007 7:44:17 AM

I love the panthers but we have alot of work to do on defense. I'm worried about our front four. We looked real slow out there yesterday, like it was preseason or something.
In my opinion we'er missing that vocal leader, someone who can keep the defense hype and on its P's & Q's, like a Ray Lewis or like Steve Smith is for our offense. We need a Hype man, the only player I saw playin Defense was Thomas Davis. He played with speed, power, and very good awareness, he was were he need to be at all times. Peppers! come on baby! your better then that, the commentator was on your case for a hole 2nd quarter. Anyone can be blocked if they come off the ball like he did. He's not using his God givin ablity, which is his speed. Come on Pep we need you, for us to be sucessful. Born_ah_Heel

This upcoming game could get ugly. Have any of you seen the way Tampa has been playing lately? I keeping my fingers crossed but I can't see how we can beat them. Their defense is back to its dominance. The Saints didn't score until the final minute of the 3rd quarter. The Rams only scored 3 points!

Plus, their offense is much improved with a revamped O-Line. We're in for a HUGE challenge.

Stats are like a bikini they dont tell the whole story, because he looked WAY OFF vs the Falcons, good thing he keeps throwing those 10 yard TDs.
