Delhomme: Drew did his job
This won't make the paper, but I was listening to quarterback Jake Delhomme today when someone asked him his thoughts on wide receiver Drew Carter's two touchdown catches in Sunday's win at St. Louis. Delhomme went beyond the usual "he did a great job" platitudes that players usually toss around, and was particularly excited over the second score, a 9-yarder with 7:15 remaining in the game. "Two touchdown passes is very nice, but one thing I was most proud of, it wasn't the catch he made on the second one, it was the route he ran," Delhomme said. "He ran what he was supposed to do; he wasn't the primary read. He didn't rush it; he took his time, he did it exactly the way it was drawn and it worked out how you practice it; how you go over it. "And that's huge for young guys to see and other guys to see; just do your job. And I'm as guilty of that as anybody else; you want to try to do too much. "He did his job." -- Stan Olson

Congrats on the win!
Can you play Carr this week and your 3rd string LFT tackle. We need a chance...

Give Houston some credit, they looked pretty good last week. Mario Williams is looking like he's starting to grow into his NFL shoes; he's still no Julius Peppers, mind you. It's going to be a good game and a good test for us to see if we can perform on the same level as last week.

Smittys going to get over 200 yards rec this sunday. They have no safeties and their corners are known for big hits but lapses in coverage, especially Dunta. I look forward to seeing them boys romp on them Texans.

I thought Beason was a "tackling machine?"
The box score, as I read it here in Ohio, listed a total of, countem', three tackles for Beason. What happened?

Just a note from David Carr's grandfather. We are so happy to see David enjoying the game and smiling again. Houston sent him to fight a war with few weapons. We are rooting for you, Jake! Go get 'em! Let the Texans see what it's like to play a good football team this week.
Go Panthers.
I know David would love to be on the field, but we know how important it is to remember it is a team game...not a solo act. Till David's out there again, we are happy to see him with a class program and enjoying the game as he did when playing youth football. We are Panther supporters all the way!

Is it possible that New England had video of the Panther defense during their Superbowl loss?
This sure makes me wonder how many points this secret video is worth. We only lost by 3, and that was with the out of bounds kick off.
I think Bill should have his sweatshirt checked each week as well. It looks big enough to have a couple of cameras shooting from it.

Big ups to Jake Delhomme too on gettting me the ball. Even though the two passes I caught were dead ducks, with my talent, I can catch anything. Hopefully it wont be any diseases from the cheerleaders though.

Panther World we should do just fine. Believe Houston is going to try and come in and win if we're not totally focus and discipline......they will take us, but not here, not this time. Keep Mario on locks, dont let him try and come up in here and out do Pep. Earlier writer said something about Beason's three tackles. Hey it was a total team effort win. And thats what its going to take all season, with a little extra on top....and thats going to have to be the leaders or someone doing there job and stepping up during the times in the game throughout the season. Ala Drew Carter. (do it boy) Pep was quiet but he had others getting there shine, like he always does, affects the whole game. But believe you me Panther Fans the D, I say the D' will step up at home and make there presents felt. First home game to start what would be home field advantage throughout the playoffs, are yall ready Charlotte. Pump it up! Its time, Vick out, which he was going to have a bangin season this year including in OUR division and now the number 1 rated team of offseason moves and pick to win the "Super what the "*^# Vince Lombardi would think Bowl" Panther World I know we dont like that one, I know the city is on that, private investigaters...lol...hey thats crazy...Super Bowl in 03 looks kinda of scary. Commissioner did his job but what was left to do was suspend him for this game against the Chargers. Made it a 3 for 3. He did 2 of 3. 1Fines, 2Drafts, 3*, dog on it 3Suspension....thats the statement, an all out statement you dont do that, some who have been in school or have been doctors or lawyers would have lost there jobs, possible license for cheating or whats called plagirism. Definitely not his job here in this aspect, but the truth, with that side it would have been over, done. But one game. One game, thats it let him watch video tapes since he wants to watch video tapes, from the house VIDEO TV.......shoot, They always seem to win by 3"""...and Im sory but what are we going to do with Fauria on the team which now all this comes out, interested how well this is going to go over in time with the locker room, in what advantage is it going to bring to the team and aspects of the game, or will he not tell... But Panther Fans keep hope alive, because to make it is to be Sane and Healthy.....we must stay that way and showing up on Sunday will take care of itself. Them guys are ready and are back on a mission this season, its now or never. We ride and die with them, even in times when it gets rough, but always remember the end, no Testimony without a Test.....dont kick them...We have to watch the Seahawks cause they know it may come down to us and them (maybe them Cowboys) which it dont matter. But thats why they got Frye. Back up to not getting Carr knowing at anytime ur starting QB can go down and not having a quality QB coming in is crucial. So Coach Mike on it...But I wish the Panthers the best this Sunday onto there route to the weeks after, of hard nose winning football... That was cool to see Carr's grandfather write in. Appreciation of life is always hard to find in people no matter where they are at or what they're doing or what they have or compared to others... Just want yall to know I love football been a fan since 2 and havent been to a Panther game ever and or just go visit other teams games. But I will one day until then I appreciate the game and what it brings to the kids and the fans, its the life and can touch and heal. Got the whole country praying for Mr. Kevin Everett. Healing like nobody's business, God the Father, people dont understand the power of prayer. Things happen for a reason and now because of that the knowledge of so many great things are being thought of and was use all in this situation, now for 25 years of knowledge gained if not a lifetime for some. Have mercy on him, give him strength, all of us Lord. And the Panthers lets go get'em....They are in our
'way of a mission'. Enjoy Panther fans, the ones that are really going to be inside the game watching with your own eyes. Its going to be a douzy. But wounding in victory!
Be Bless!
JOY,
Care for Jesus, Others, and Yourself!

Carter and Colbert that has a great ring to it.

Mr. Joyner,
We're glad to have David here in Charlotte. I think it's safe to say he's the best "backup" in the league and there are more than a few fans who would like to see him on the field. I'm sure he'll get his day in the sun before it's all said and done; till then, we'll enjoy having a class act on the roster.

I’m a Houston Texans fan and let me say that there’re many of us who would like to see David do well. David has always said and done the right things and appears to be a loving, devoted and responsible father, husband, and Christian. How would anyone want to see him fail? I also travel and spend time away from my family while wishing to be there, but I don’t have that luxury. Nor do I have Millions of fans wanting me to succeed or go home. The Texans were the wrong team for any young QB. As an expansion franchise there were no veteran pieces in place, no line, only the unwanted players from other teams. Nor was the talent being added Charlie Casserly was giving away picks and the ones he kept didn’t pan out as advertised. Coaching wasn’t up to par either. The only reason Capers was hired is because he had the experience of launching an expansion team. Didn’t he stink with you guys as well? I think that the expectations for David here in Houston were too high and that the time needed to be that successful QB conflicted with David’s family values. There were many that didn’t see that relentless effort from him and were uncompromising in their views. Couple that with a pass on Vince Young Houston’s favorite son in the draft only further alienated him from fans. I believe that management had faith in Car however with the black eye it took and the Car bashing that was going on it was in the best interest for both parties to part ways. We haven’t heard as much about Vince and I’m sure David is enjoying his new start with the Panthers. I think that it’s the perfect match for him right now away from scrutiny and getting a fresh look at things. As far as the game don’t overlook the Texans. These teams are more evenly matched than you would think. They’re very similar with the experience edge offensive line play going to Carolina. I think Houston has a better return game with Jerome Mathis and rookie Jacoby Jones. I would have to give the game to Carolina but could see my Texans winning which isn’t so bad the last time the Texans played and beat Carolina you wound up in the Super Bowl.

Good Stuff Mr.Joyner.......
All I want to say is...
And with the 1st pick of 2008 NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs select......
Good win though Houston, I am sure your time is now, against the leagues worst Defense you put up 1 Touchdown solid.
Carolina gave up 1 td to one of the best Offenses in the NFL. and shut down Bulger Bruce Jackson and Holt AND the Rams Oline is better then your I am guessing......

As a Carolina fan, I'm embarrassed! I have said from the beginning that our D-Coord is sorry. And some of you over-achievers who try to out-brain everyone like that dirt bag Procton, try so hard to be positive and support this organization as per all their stupid decisions, and its starting to piss me off. We have so much talent on this team and we were man-handled today. And it's not the offense, it's not the QB, it's that bull-shit vanilla defense and a coach who can't or doesn't know how to make adjustments. Explain to me how our D-line can't apply pressure to the Houston Texan's O-line!! I'm speaking from the heart because I live for Sunday's so I can see my favorite team play garbage football like they did today. I'm interested in hearing from someone who actually cares, rather than someone whose auditioning for an editorial job or hangs out with Pat Y on Friday nights.
