Carr practices, is listed as probable for Sunday

Quarterback David Carr, recovering from a badly bruised back suffered
at New Orleans, practiced for the first time today, did everything he
needed to and was listed by the team as probable for Sunday's game at
Arizona.

That means that he'll start, even though coach John Fox was
still calling it a game-time decision following the workout. And while
reporters can't write about specifics from practice, Fox did say Carr
looked good. And if Carr is healthy, he's the guy.

Vinny Testaverde practiced for the first time as a Panther
Wednesday and has looked remarkably good, but, barring an unforeseen
setback, he'll be watching Carr work on Sunday.

It seemed to me that the panthers d was better off when Beason was MLB. I think he had more tackles there than Morgan did in any game so far. It would make sense for the panthers to keep Beason in there as long as he continues to produce like he is, why change things up and end up with Thomas Davis all over again.

Whew!!! I was really hoping we werent going to have to start Vinny....i get the feeling Arizona will put up some points on us, im not too comfortable with a guy who has practiced 3 days with us starting.

I agree Mike....if we were to start Vinny this early it would be a total mess I believe. Im not saying Vinny cannot play, because if he couldnt he wouldnt still be in the game, but he needs time with the team to furthur learn them and get to know our playbook a little better. Hopefully Carr can pull us out a victory this sunday. We really need this one going into the bye week.

I would like to grab Davey Carr by his lovely locks and give him the best Cleveland Steamer he's ever seen.

i like how you tools call testeverde 'Vinnie' like he's your good friend or something on a first name basis. Idiots.

Start Vinny. We all know that the season is lost. We suck. No one can really think that we are gonig to win 9 or 10 games.
Lets pull an Vikings and start a ridiculously old QB for a year just so we can blame it on that when we end up 6-10 or 7-9.

Fans,

Get a grip everyone. Vinny is a professional and thus is his style. Carr is improving and Matt is learning on the sidelines.
No matter who starts, there are other issues that need to be addressed by the team.
1. The O line needs to sure up and actually protect the QB, no matter which one is taking the snaps at any given time in the game. Give um time to do what needs to be done to put the points on the board.
2. The Coaching needs to be more aggressive, at this point there's plenty of "excuses" for losing the games this year, so there's no reason not to be aggressive. Who knows, we might actually win if the coaching shows some confidence in our boys performing.
3. While putting points on the board is definately needed, for this particular game we're going to need the new concept (apparently of covering over the middle. And hey we may even want to learn how to cover closer than 10 yards off of the recievers while we're at it.

Goddess, you nailed it! If you and I and hundreds of other fans know it, why don't the coaches and the owner???
