I know John Kasay is the teflon player on The Panthers roster. I myself have always liked him and admire his on the field and off the field actions. But come on...he MUST start giving this team more on kickoffs. When was the last time we had a touchback?

Anyone else see that missed field goal? Fox gave up on the drive when it was second-and-fifteen and thought he would just fall back on a field goal! Two long draw plays in a row with great field position--Fox gave up! He's not even trying to win--he's just trying not to lose. It's time for the "Davidson Expirament" to be over!!!

Good Lord. Put a Quarterback in who either doesn't know better or who isn't afraid to throw to Steve Smith in coverage. Jake did it and had good success. Matt Moore anyone?

Posted by: jbdawn | Nov 4, 2007 2:19:46 PM

Anyone could do better than what Carr's done in the first half! So why not Moore? I'm all for anyone who doesn't get sacked multiple times and turn the ball over!

Posted by: hillbilly | Nov 4, 2007 2:34:03 PM

Right, because sacks are the QBs fault when he's given a second and a half to throw.

Maybe Carolinas defense can learn what a defensive line is supposed to do. 5 sacks so far I hope Peppers and the gang are taking notes.

Posted by: Jimmy | Nov 4, 2007 2:47:09 PM

Well, I hate to start an argument but sacks are the Quarterbacks fault when he is afraid to throw the ball except when a perfectly "safe" opportunity presents itself.

Posted by: hayden | Nov 4, 2007 2:52:22 PM

No you are mostly right. However if the defense is supposed to be so great why is young not not throwing the ball away?

Posted by: Jimmy | Nov 4, 2007 2:58:35 PM

Yeah Procton, I guess every one of those sacks came because Carr couldn't even take three steps--and not because he looks like a deer in the headlights.

Vinny is inactive

Posted by: Will | Nov 4, 2007 3:14:13 PM

Over/under on David Carr being the 2nd team mate Steve Smith sucker punches?

Posted by: Will | Nov 4, 2007 3:14:41 PM

The third QB is an inactive position, dumbass.

Posted by: Michael Procton | Nov 4, 2007 3:16:24 PM

Who said anything about the thrid QB? What are you, high?

Posted by: hillbilly | Nov 4, 2007 3:18:48 PM

Tenn. just scored a TD to make it 20-0 . Remember those preseason predictions? 6-10 is sounding very realistic...and that is if we can win 2 more games. sounds very doubtful even though we have 4 wins.

Steve Smith as qb, and just have a bunch of running plays... aka the single wing. have smith, foster, williams all back there and when the ball snaps they all spin around and no one knows where to find the ball.

Posted by: Chris Norman | Nov 4, 2007 3:26:13 PM

wow. panthers will have the same record as the saints. the saints have a better chance to make the playoffs than the panthers.

THE SAINTS STARTED 0-4!!!

David Carr is the worst professional qb i have ever seen. Go get billy volek from san diego or somethin, matt moore cannot be any worse than david carr. I thought it was b/c he played behind a bad line in houston, and now I see that it was all his fault. He is scared to throw the ball down field. This is PITIFUL...

Posted by: Clay | Nov 4, 2007 3:29:39 PM

Will did...what are you, retarded?

Posted by: Michael Procton | Nov 4, 2007 3:30:30 PM

i know this is my 3rd post in a row, but i wonder if the carr/houston sacks the previous 5 years were the OL's fault, or Carr's? anyone watched the tape of every 500 sacks to examined to see if Carr didn't have time or if a WR was open and Carr sucks?

Posted by: chris norman | Nov 4, 2007 3:32:20 PM

This still isn't as bad as the 1-15 season. Trying to look on the bright side.

Posted by: Jimmy | Nov 4, 2007 3:32:44 PM

I wouldn't say the worst QB you ever seen, unless you didn't see Chris Wienke play. Remember DeAngelo took snaps for Wienke against the Falcons last year and WON! Also, during the draft this year Keyshawn ripped Wienke by saying that we (he was still a panther) didn't have a backup qb when delhomme went down

Posted by: Chris Norman | Nov 4, 2007 3:34:31 PM

Yeah, that's true.

Granted, if that 1-15 played 3 winless teams like the Panthers have in 3 of their 4 wins, that 1-15 team would have probably won more, too.

Give them credit.

Posted by: Will | Nov 4, 2007 3:35:21 PM

Shocking, that Carr made some good throws on that drive given some time.

Posted by: Michael Procton | Nov 4, 2007 3:35:34 PM

its all b/c he was reading our blogs.

Posted by: Chris Norman | Nov 4, 2007 3:37:31 PM

Cardiac Cats anyone?

Posted by: Chris Norman | Nov 4, 2007 3:38:26 PM
