Vinny's questionable
Just when it seemed like the Panthers had a firm starting quarterback, they don't. Vinny Testaverde's back tightened up Saturday morning and he's been added to the injury report as questionable. If Testaverde's not ready to play Sunday, the Panthers are going to face a critical choice? Do they start David Carr, who they essentially slapped in the face earlier in the week when they said Testaverde gives them a better chance to win? Or rookie Matt Moore who has never started an NFL game? -- PAT YASINSKAS

Start Carr

Moore. Carr is a known entity, unfortunately. Play the kid, he will need mobility in the muck and with our O line. Nothing but upside with Moore.

If Vinnie cannot play, give the ball to Moore. The Panthers cannot win with Carr at QB, and if he does start, the Saints will punish him for beating them earlier in the season. Moore needs the experience anyway.

To borrow John Fox's line, start Moore "he gives us the best chance to win" sadly and not a very good chance but the best chance to say the least. Carr couldn't start on most HS teams and pull off a win let alone the NFL. Let's give Moore a chance and see what he can do. We all know what Carr can do...uh hum...can't do that is.

I say give Moore the shot. Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Brett Farve all were rookies at one time. They got that shot and look at them now. It's painfully obvious that Carr isn't going to do anything postive for this franchise. Start Moore.

Moore. He might as well start and get the experience since we can't win with Carr.

This should not even be a question. Vinny does not give us the best chance to win, but the best chance to keep it close going into the 4th Q. Carr has now proven he is not the future. Moore is the only unknown!! He may be another Tony Romo!! He may be another Jake Delhomme!! He may be an undrafted free-agent that floats a round for a few years and then is out of football. As a season ticket holder I say roll the dice, see what the kid has!! There is nothing more to lose and everything to gain!!
