Bridges out

Bit of a surprise. Jeremy Bridges, who has been the starting right guard since Week 3, has been declared inactive for today's game. Bridges woke up this morning bothered by an abscessed tooth. That likely means second-year pro Geoff Hangartner will start. Here are the other inactives: quarterback David Carr, receiver Dwayne Jarrett, defensive tackle Gary Gibson, defensive end Charles Johnson, tackle Frank Omiyale and linebacker James Anderson. -- PAT YASINSKAS

Is Fox protecting Carr from the angry Panther fans in Jacksonville now? Just admit it was a mistake and cut him. Get him off the team, out of the locker room, send his goofy, dippity-doo hairdo'd, soul patch, matching gloves, Justin Timberlake clothed, stupid remarking ass back to wherever he came from.

maybe we can trade him back to Houston for Matt Schaub...HA! I wish. I'd take a pack of gum in exchange for them taking Carr off our hands.

I agree...what is the point in keeping Carr on the roster?

Yeah Carr's got to go, but what is up with Jeremy Bridges? I don't think I've ever heard of a player being inactive because of a tooth! Take a freaking shot and wear a mouth guard!!

Hey Pat, will you ask Fox why he keeps starting Foster over Williams?

Posted by: Matt West | Dec 9, 2007 1:09:58 PM

Gamble playing over Marshall is near criminal.

Could you imagine Dick Butkus staying out of a game with an absess tooth? What a pussy cat minus cat.

To Foster's credit, he's ran the ball very well against one of the top defenses in the league

If we actually had a legit shot at the playoffs, I bet Bridges would have toughed it out. Players start to quit on losing teams at this point of the season, I guess Bridges is one of those guys.

Maake and Jenkins are terrible.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:05:44 PM

Gamble burned for a TD
Gamble burned for 27 yards on third down.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:09:07 PM

Gamble burned for 30 yards.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:23:55 PM

Foster tiptoes to a 1 yard gain. Better than fumbling I guess.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:29:04 PM

OK, Jags are getting the ball back with a minute and change left. Bet they throw at Gamble and he gives up at least two big plays. And, even changing kickers, we kick it out of bounds. Unf*&^$%#^ing believable

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:32:18 PM

Jags coaches went brain dead and didn't throw at Gamble.
Vinny's passes are off the mark. Put the kid in and let him play an entire half. Del Rio had the guts to send Sandwich or Rightwich or Leftwich or whatever his name was packing. Fox needs to make decisive, bold moves where personnel are concerned.

Bench Gamble for Marshall, Maake for Lewis and Vinny for Moore.

Yes, I am bored

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:37:48 PM

Hey Matt, it's halftime and Williams has negative yards on the day. This happens all the time. Yes, he has big play potential, but so does Foster! Williams is waaay to inconsistent to be a starter.

Posted by: SYRPIS | Dec 9, 2007 2:41:57 PM

All I want for Christmas is for Foster to run hard, Gamble to cover someone and Drew Carter to block someone. Why is Jason Baker kicking off? Kasey may only get it to the 10 but he at least keeps it in bounds. The special teams coach has got to be outta here after this year.

Posted by: B | Dec 9, 2007 2:48:47 PM

HOW MANY TIMES MUST FOSTER FUMBLE BEFORE YOU SIT HIM DOWN. DON'T PLAY THAT IDIOT ANOTHER DOWN. GEEEEEEEZZZZZZUUUUUUSSSSS.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:51:05 PM

SYPIS - Still a Foster fan?

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:52:03 PM

Williams wouldn't have negative yards if Drew Carter would have blocked the cornerback. Foster sure does have big play potential, his big play is a fumble.

Posted by: B | Dec 9, 2007 2:53:51 PM

I'll be damned, Jenkins and Davis made a tackle.

Gamble burned for 15 more yards.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:54:11 PM

And they score on the exact same play they were just out of bounds on in the first half. Thanks Foster, you hump. Go take your little hop step spin move BS to another team or to the Predator remake so you can spot him in the trees again.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:57:04 PM

And, Kasay led the league in kickoffs out of bounds up to today.

Posted by: Willy | Dec 9, 2007 2:58:17 PM

Del Rio used his timeouts to get the ball back before halftime so he had a chance to score. Fox let the clock run out and didn't even give us a chance to make the Jags punt. I wish Fox would have went to Jacksonville instead of Del Rio!!

Posted by: Matt West | Dec 9, 2007 3:02:28 PM

It time to put Matt Moore in I'm tired of seeing Vinny overthrowing people. Foster blowing opportunities with his fumbling problems.
