Carr's inactive

One week after starting, quarterback David Carr has been de-activated for today's game. Rookie Matt Moore has been promoted to No. 2 behind Vinny Testaverde. Safety C.J. Wilson, linebacker James Anderson, tackle Evan Mathis, tackle Frank Omiyale, receiver Dwayne Jarrett, defensive tackle Gary Gibson and defensive end Charles Johnson also are inactive. -- PAT YASINSKAS

That is great. I just wish we parked the Carr several weeks ago and better yet, that we never bought this Carr.

Sorry PantherHead, I agree the Carr's wheels have come off and should be traded in for something Moore! However, I think almost everyone was happy with this signing when it happened. Hindsight is 20-20 lets, hopefully, look for Moore in the future.

Jarrett. What is his problem. Can you please do something to get active....
Take notes from New Orleans inactive reciever. He asked Steve Smith for advice last week. Get a clue!!!!!!!!

Jarrett has been injured this week, which is why he's inactive.

Asking Steve Smith for advice....wow! Nothing like looking up to a overrated player.

Can anyone tell me why DeAngelo Williams isn’t the starting Running Back for Carolina? Williams seems to be more explosive than Foster.

Deangelo misses blocks and some other task. i have one question why didn't they put matt moore in and let him get some action instead of trying to get Vinnie hurt makes no sense. i love the win but the same time think down the field.

hey panta4life,, you still have the same thoughts on D.Will?

As far as inactivating Carr, that may be the smartest move Fox/Hurney have made all year

Leave Vinny as the starter. He as the most chemistry with this team out of Moore/Carr. A great effort today by the defense, after being dead for the whole season. Tampa has to lose today for any playoff hopes

I think Fox is afraid of Rookie mistakes. Also it looks like the Panther players are playing for their jobs along with their coaches.

I hope D. Will ends up as the starter now. Foster is decent, but D. Will is just so much more explosive. He had over 100 all purpose yards today!

I wish I could get a job with the panthers. Pay a guy 3 million a year not to show up to work. Now thats a dream job.

Carr was not deactivated. He was listed as the 3rd QB. Why can't we get accuracy?

Posted by: Ben | Dec 2, 2007 8:32:50 PM

Ben the 3rd QB is inactive they are only there for emergency purposes.

You're right, Gibson. Granted, there are 249 players on IR across the league outside the Panthers roster getting their full salary despite not playing. Other than that, though, good luck finding that job.
As for DeAngelo Williams, the kid is garbage. Beyond the fact that he does a bad job in pass pro, he's far more interested in dancing sideways and backwards than actually gaining yardage if the blocking isn't picture perfect. As for his "explosiveness", if you take away his run against Arizona, his YPC is under 4, a number which he's surpassed a grand total of 5 times in 11 games.

garbage! strong words. whether your right about his progression so far as a nfl running back, it doesn't seem right to call him garbage. i remember a day when davis was our running back and foster was known for dancing in the back field himself. seems like williams just might learn to stop dancing some day also.

If Williams is garbage, then what does that make Foster? (Mr. more lost fumbles than touchdowns)

Posted by: Huckabee | Dec 3, 2007 8:27:07 AM

we still need to give the panthers to another city!!!!!!!

Posted by: ddor | Dec 3, 2007 10:33:17 AM

we now have three players on yhe panthers team thanks Vinny for joining one offense and the one defense player. Now we have three players!!!

Posted by: ddor | Dec 3, 2007 10:35:44 AM

who's going to block for deangelo come on panthers don't have any running backs!!!

Posted by: ddor | Dec 3, 2007 10:38:29 AM

It makes Foster the best option we've got, and the 7th-ranked rusher in the conference despite splitting carries with Twinkle-ToeAngelo.
