Hartwig, Steelers agree to terms

Recently released Panthers center Justin Hartwig agreed to terms Tuesday with the Pittsburgh Steelers on a two-year contract worth $4 million. It includes a $975,000 signing bonus. Carolina cut Hartwig this month after deciding to turn over the starting center job to 2007 second-round pick Ryan Kalil. Kansas City and St. Louis were also said to be interested in Hartwig.

Kudos to Janitor Dan for providing this information to the forums fifteen minutes before the so-called professionals. And thanks to profootballtalk.com for providing it twenty-five minutes before the Observer's crack staff.

Why do some of you complain about everything? As much as you guys are online you should apply for the Observer. Who cares about Hartwig anyway, he's not on our team anymore. You're probably one of the same one's that say we should let Pep go!!

Sure hope unproven rookie Ryan Kalil can step up, and also doesn't get hurt.

It amazes me how many players the Panthers deem not worthy of their sorry ass loser franchise. They cut guys like Hartwig and Wahle that end up going to start for much better, PLAYOFF teams. And with Hartwig it even hurt them financially against the cap to make the move. Idiots, there's a reason you are 7-9 every year.

Of course another site posted this story before Stan or Charles, that's how those ass clowns "work"!!! They surf the net looking for some other site or writer to break a story then re-word and copy it. They do NOTHING!!! I mean seriously, I don't think they even got this story, probably some intern did. Notice it was posted by "Observer Sports".
In this day and age where people are busting their asses to pay the bills, if they even have jobs at all, these 2 get paid to sleep all day and plagiarize. I admire that and I'm very jealous.

Michael Procton can win a game of Connect Four in only three moves.

What is funny about this whole thing is the fact that Richardson stated that he wanted to be more like the Steelers. Adding that the OL must be bigger and stronger. Kalil at 6-2 295 is not bigger and stronger than 6-4 305 Hartwig. In fact, the OL is pretty small by league standards. Richardson has no clue what he is talking about. Like most owners he has no idea what it takes to build a good team. It appears that his lack of direction has found its way to Hurney and Fox. Neither has constructed a good draft in the years that they have been here. It is time to hire a good GM, keep Fox out of the personal division, and tell Jerry to stay out of the way. Jerry, the goal is not be like another team, the goal is to be the Panthers and make the Panthers good.
