A rare fumble by Toefield

The fourth-quarter fumble by Carolina's LaBrandon Toefield, which set up a Philadelphia field goal, was out of character for the sixth-year veteran.

In five seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Toefield had no fumbles in 163 career rushing attempts. His only fumble in Jacksonville was after making a pass reception.

Interception returned for a TD to decide a loss?

I can do that too!

1. Looks like Mr. Drive-killer, Jordan (False-start) Gross is at it again.
2. Pleeeeeease get Buck and Aikmam out of the commentator's booth! talking about their bowling experiences in the 3rd quarter! Are you serious!?!
3. The offensive and defensive lines did not look as good this week... oh oh.
4. Was Peppers playing tonight? Where did he go?
5. overall, this team was looking identical to last year's (and the year before that).

---I think picking up a veteran QB might do the trick. Is Favre still available? Hell, is Rodney Peete still available?

One more thing... what's with that A-hole Reed acting like he just got a free box of Krispy Kreme right after one of his players puts a helmet to helmet hit on Moose!?

The fumble ment nothing to me,Just hold on to the ball next time,BUT,I wasnt impressed with neither team,If either team wants to go far they BETTER come with something better than THAT!,Carolina did not look together,At least not yet. They have not pass the test,I dont care if it is preseason,Its time for once to see some fire,They look too close like last year,They have time to fix it.

What a brillian performance by this team. Did you see the way Jake led his team? He is showing no signs of fear or rust! And that tenacious D-line in the Eagle backfield all day! Westbrook didn't know if he was coming or going. And that special teams play was special... especially on coverages and returns!

where are all you kool aid drinkers now? put away your panther blue glasses and read the writing on the wall. panthers still suck and eagles still rule. hee hee

SYRP, I don't know if you've ever watched a preseason game before, but national broadcasts get treated like they don't matter after the first 20 minutes are over. That happens all the time.

And our containment of Westbrook was one of the things I was happy with. If we can hold a guy like that to 31 yards on 7 touches without 3/4 of our secondary, we're doing ok.

And rare or not, that fumble pretty much cost us the game. His past doesn't matter. What kind of player is he now? One who can't hold on to the football, apparently.

The show down begins =

LEBRANDON TOEFIELD vs. DECORI BIRMINGHAM

LT pros = rarely fumbles, powerful, guaranteed positive yardage, good blocker

DB pros = quick and powerful, potential

LT cons = no more potential, no big gains,

DB cons = big ?, high risk/medium reward

i rarely comment about peoples weight but andy reid is a fat disgusting slob. put the fork down you pig.his face looks like a pillow with eyes.hey watchdog, as bad as the panthers played ,their 1st and 2nd stringers had the eagles beat 13-0.i hate the way the eagles play .little dink and dunk passes and blitz on every play. its like pansy ball. they will never win a super bowl with that style of play despite having a very talented roster.

Toefield is also more expensive than Birmingham, though not by much.
