CB/KR Colclough receives DWI

On the eve of the biggest cutdown day of the NFL preseason, Panthers cornerback Ricardo Colclough was charged with driving while impaired.

According to Mecklenburg County Jail records, Colclough was being held at the jail this morning.

Colclough appeared to have won a spot on the Panthers' roster as a backup cornerback and kick returner.

The Panthers are required to announce their cutdown from 75 players to 53 by 6 p.m. today.

Im sure this happens just as much on other teams but you dont hear about it nationally unless its a big time player.

Unfortunately that layout of Charlotte sets people up to make poor choices. So many people live outside of the center city and choose to drive home when they probably should not have. It still suprises me that these guys getting paid what they get paid, cant get a cab or use a driving service.

cut him and bring back ricky manning jr who was cut by the bears. that'd give us an excellent foursome of cornerbacks if u ask me.

Hahahaha you gotta be kidding me...that is just about the dumbest thing you can possibly do the night before cuts! Especially if you're a borderline player like Colclough! He basically just signed his own release. What a moron!

I don't understand how all these professional athletes and celebrities can get DWI's when they can all afford a personal driver.

Ricky Manning has been garbage since he left here. Kid was #6 in Chicago. I want NOTHING to do with that.

At least this will make today a little easier on the coaches.
