D'lo answers

Not to be outdone by rookie Jonathan Stewart, DeAngelo Williams just broke off a 60-yard touchdown run.

Obviously, there's more zip in the Panthers' running game than there was last season.

Williams ran up the middle, slipped a tackle of scrimmage, then two more and outran a four defender (cornerback Shawn Springs) into the end zone.

Tonight, at least, it looks like the Panthers have quite a 1-2 punch at the running back position.

And Jarrett's moving the ball as well?

And the D-line looks impressive?

Oh my goodness!

Assuming we don't find out on Monday that Smith's injury is worse than we thought, and no serious injuries come out of the game in general... WOW!

ALMOST 200 YDS RUSHING IN THE 1ST HALF....AND ZERO POINTS FOR THE SKINS....THAT'S A GOOD THING.

Don't worry about Smith's arm. It is not his punching hand.

Hey THE RB KICK ASS

This tandem reminds me of the healthy competition Rucker and Peppers used to have with each other earlier in their careers. BTW, is it going to kill someone to mention the blocking (especially that of Otah and Hoover)?!

Oh yeah, let's not forget the great blocking of one particular WR tonight! No, Moose was out. Nah, I'm not talking about Sucker-punch Smith either! Nooo, I'm referring to the all-new Dwayne Jarrett. This guy has revamped his persona, just like the franchise itself has, and just in time too!

Bad ass!!

yeah i was really impressed that it was Jarrett that threw that last block that allowed DeAngelo to take it all the way for that 60 yarder...

Less we forget, this was only Preseason. Let's not get too excited. Ah screw it, this was an amazing showing. Excitement rules. Thrilled, exstatic, overjoyed, pick one, I feel them all.

i didnt realize dwill was so fast. that was one of the knocks on him. he must hsve game speed.stewart has great moves for a big back.

: str8chillin: He was doing it all night. I was keeping tabs on him so I can be critical, but only found myself in awe and exited about his new attitude towards the team as a whole (evident by the great blocking that he did).

Preseason games dont mean anything guys, sorry to say, unless..................

YOU WIN 47-3! and........
your thunder and lightning package produced over 200 yards 2TDs off of 11 carries

How do you lose a game 47-3, ForeSkins fans have to be worried. hahahahahahahahahaha!

We've got to temper the enthusiasm a little bit by acknowledging Washington had two starters out (a linebacker and a safety) who might've helped hold down some of the run defense. But honestly, I've got high hopes for the run blocking from the Panthers.

The linemen are moving people big-time. Hoover was absolutely killing guys as he led the RBs through the hole. And if the WRs are blocking down field like that all season long (remember Moose is excellent at that!), this could be a major run-oriented offense this year.

Then you layer on play-action pass to Smith, Muhammad, Hackett (if he's healthy), King, Rosario, RBs out of the backfield...and it's a whole new ball-game. And that's just on the offensive side of the ball. That defense is giving them great field position. The special teams can too now. But let's see how they continue to match up against other units in the initial going. San Diego and Chicago should be some interesting tests for them...
