Lucas practices for 1st time since fight

Cornerback Ken Lucas returned to practice Saturday for the first time since he broke his nose in a training-camp fight with receiver Steve Smith two weeks ago.

Coach John Fox said he didn't know if Lucas, who had surgery to repair the nose, would play in next Saturday's exhibition against the Washington Redskins.

I gained so much respect for Ken Lucas after the altercation - he showed up the next day for FanFest with a black eye. Our Defense showed they can take a punch and keep their composure. Mad Respect to you Luke.

It was a very bad incident, "the sucker punch". What it tells me is that Steve has an awful lot of anger that he is still dealing with.

Steve, I have not been to Church in over twenty years however; there is an affirmation that has helped me and thousands of others be at peace. "God's river of peace floods my mind and his love fills my heart.

"...since he broke his nose in a training-camp fight..." is misleading. Instead, it should be written: "...since his nose was broken in a training-camp fight..." Let's not diminish the importance of the fact that Steve is the one who did it.
