Hackett returns to practice

Receiver D.J. Hackett, who missed the last two games with a knee injury, returned to practice on a limited basis Wednesday. Coach John Fox said Hackett will be a day-to-day decision for Sunday's home game against Arizona. Hackett, who has been the team's No. 3 receiver when healthy, has 10 catches for 131 yards this season.

Center Ryan Kalil and tackle Jeff Otah, who both have injured ankles, again didn't practice. Don't rule out the possibility of Kalil and Otah missing this game, then having two more weeks off to get healthy with next week's bye.

Receiver Muhsin Muhammad didn't practice because of a "team decision," which often means a player of Moose's "experience" got the day off to rest. -- David Scott

GO PANTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!! It's OK, because our o line is doing great without them anyways! I mean our run game could be a little better, but overall the back ups have been doing a fantastic job. I'm going to the game Sunday and I hope they show me a good time. LETS GO BOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good news. Hackett's injury problems have been disappointing, but he's certainly more explosive and reliable than Jarrett when he's on the field.

Getting Hackett back is the least of our worries/priorities. He will be back out in the next game or two anyways!

Actually Jarret had a good pre-season, a good game against San Diego, was reliable versus Chicago, and had I believe the first catch of the game this past Sunday, if used in 3 wr sets he could be good first down convertor and even touchdown guy in the red zone (as he was with USC)

To say that Hackett's injuries have been disappointing, is a huge understatement. His injuries have been nothing less than a giant hindrance. It would nice to know what you mean by explosive? Jarrett has a higher YPC than Hackett. We won't know how reliable Jarrett will be, until we actually start using him as part of the Offense.

Don't worry procton. Don't let facts get in the way of your arguement.

GO CATS!!
