Post your questions and comments here about the Carolina Panthers' 27-23 win over the Arizona Cardinals. One of the Panthers' beat writers will answer your questions later this evening.

Is it time for the bandwagon/media storm? Or will this team keep flying under the radar?

Did you guys have Mark Jones listed as inactive at one point today? I KNOW I saw him listed. Then later he was replaced with Kenneth Moore.

Will you please ask John Fox why he didnt call a timeout on Arizona's first TD play. Thomas Davis was one-on-one with Bouldin, someone should have seen that and called a timeout to get into a different coverage. I know Davis has speed and is decent in coverage, but its still a matchup that heavily favored Arizon, I'd just like to know why Fox felt good about that defense they were in

I don't know about anyone else, but....back to back wins against 2 of the top 5 high scoring offenses is pretty impressive! I see nothing but great success the rest of the season. Also, we have done it with our O line being plug and play. Once we get our starters back, I see us only getting stronger. I feel pretty confident about the rest of the season! I really believe this is OUR year! GO PANTHERS!

Held the Cardinals when it mattered. Defense let them run up major yards but kept them in check when it mattered. Warner did his best impression of the bionic man and still couldn't get the team a win. Great job overall by the Panthers.
If the offense can play all game as it did in the 2nd half of that game, this team will be near impossible to beat.

I agree! We can only get stronger. I never thought we would lose this game. My only question is...... where are our favorite HATED "attention whores":
Michael Procton, Keeping it Real, and FIREFOX? LOOOOOOOOOOOOSEEEERS! Change your panties ladies and wait for the next game to criticize Peppers, Delhomme, or anyone else on the Panthers. YOU SUCK!

Great win today. This year we CAN come back from a defecit. Does anyone else dislike Brian Baldinger? He has to be one of the worst ever.

Great win going into a bye! PANTHERS keep their home winning streak alive, with big win over a highly rated offense. The PANTHERS are winning the games they're suppose to win...

Do you get the feeling that even though Jake Delhomme at qb does make a few mistakes, he with his ability to rise to the occassion under the gun and produce positive results more often then not, is moving into that upper level of respectability among NFL quarterbacks?
Posted by: Kobe | Oct 26, 2008 4:53:23 PM
And only 3 penalties today.
On a related note, it sucks not having the NFL Ticket.

Kudos to Kurt Warner. He played like a beast today. Too bad the Cardinals brought zilch to the table from a rushing perspective (50 yds total). The Panthers found a way to bring their balanced rush & pass attack to life after halftime, and lit up the scoreboard in the 3rd quarter. The defense shut Arizona down in the final quarter, Williams reminds everyone of why he remains 1st on the RB depth chart, and Delhomme gets to call his favortie play for the last minute & change.
After beating two scary offensisve machines, the schedule gets squeezably soft for the next few games after the bye (Oakland & Detroit). I'm looking at YOU, "8-2."

Two Quick Questions:
1. How is Jarrett? He seemed to be in some pain following that 3rd down reception.
2. Is our pass D not as good as the statistic showed before this game, or was it just the matchup with the three quality receivers in Boldin, Fitzgerald and Breaston that allowed over 300 passing yards and multiple TDs?
Posted by: Nate | Oct 26, 2008 5:08:03 PM
Nate, it had a little to do with the fact that they passed it almost 50 times.
And no, it wouldn't be hard to criticize Peppers as Charles Johnson (who's being paid approximately 4% of what Peppers is) completely overshadowed him today. Fortunately, the rest of the team (Delhomme, Williams (for once, with some tough running!), Kemoeatu, Beason, Gamble, Smitty, et al all stepped up and brought home the win when things looked bad early.

You guys think they should use the three wide receiver more often to get Jarret more playing time. Looks like he's improving a lot. I also think we should run the wildcat formation more often. You guys?I like how Fox switched it up when just handing the ball off wasn't working. All in all I think we did well.GO PANTHERS!!!

anyone who actually believes that this is the first time DeAngelo has shown tough running, has failed to watch many games.
And dont you think Charles Johnson is directly related to the impact Peppers is having on opposing offenses? Even Brentson Buckner and Mike Minter both have come out and said once Peps starts making plays and getting more attention, guys like Johnson and Brayton will be making more plays.
Posted by: matt | Oct 26, 2008 5:19:35 PM
No, Matt...Peppers was getting handled one-on-one by Mike Gandy most of the game. They showed him on his backside several times.
Posted by: Michael Procton | Oct 26, 2008 5:22:23 PM
and often chipped by a running back or a guard, however he was getting one on one blocking more this game than in previous ones. But the fact remains that, now that teams have to worry about peppers, other guys on the defense will make more plays

Okay, you all must know that Missy Cockton (Michael Procton) is my new honorary step son. I tagged his mother when were in college together...that is why he transferred. Sorry, Missy, but just because you aint had pu@@y since pu@@y had you, don't be mad and hatin'. Thanks to all the other fans. 6-2 going into the bye week is not bad.
Posted by: Julius Peppers | Oct 26, 2008 5:26:18 PM
Overshadowed Peppers. Were a team idiot. It was Peppers that brought all the attention to help him get those sacks. You know usually I don't mind your your comments Procton(which usually make no sense). But now your getting annoying. You just need to make sure Peppers fries are hot when he comes to Burger King to get his meal.
Posted by: bryant80 | Oct 26, 2008 5:32:40 PM
which leads me to say....your mother was her backside most of the time....... SHE LOVED IT. DON'T HATE MICHELLE COCKSON!
Posted by: Julius Peppers | Oct 26, 2008 5:33:08 PM
You people would manage some way to make any game by Peppers a good one. The guy doesn't show up on a regular basis, despite wanting to be paid better than any defensive player in the league. It'll be easier on you when you jsut admit it. Was it "all the attention" Peppers was drawing on Kemoeatu's forced fumble when he was nowhere near the play? If he's so good, there's no way we should be in the bottom third of the league in sacks.
Posted by: Michael Procton | Oct 26, 2008 5:35:10 PM
Yeah Procton Bryant 80 is right. My fries were cold last time I came there. You can't move up to making burgers like that. Tell your mom I'll stop bye later.
Posted by: Julius Peppers | Oct 26, 2008 5:36:42 PM
Pepp was eating double teams and getting held ALL DAY. He does not have the motor of Lawrence Taylor, but he is EASILY among the best of his generation.
Posted by: Briscoe | Oct 26, 2008 5:39:49 PM
Funny how the announcers said they felt sorry for poor ol Gandy. They also brought a tight end over to help.Since you like talking about sacks so much , Procton .Get off Peppers. He's not gay.
