Cheesy pre-game observations
Lambeau Field doesn't disappoint. It's a classic, and it's refurbishment a few years ago made it one of the NFL's classiest venues. It's truly a joy to cover a game here.
One of the big ads on the big end zone scoreboard is sponsored by Sargento, "the official cheese of the Green Bay Packers."
The Panthers have lots of advertising sponsors, but not an official cheese. If Carolina had such a thing, it couldn't be Kraft (New England would own that one because of owner Bob Kraft) and it wouldn't be Velveeta (they'd have to have a spread offense for that to work). Cracker Barrell, however, is a possibility because the Panthers like few things more than getting their running game rolling downhill.
-- The latest weather information: It's currently 37 degrees and overcast, but no snow yet. Winds are at 9 mph (according to www.weather.com). The forecast calls for dropping temperatures, increasing winds and possible snowfall.

The Panthers would have to be sponsored by a Swiss Cheese.
