Sorry about that...
The news story on an earlier blog today was inadvertently released to us a day early, that's why it's not there any more (for those of you who saw it). We'll have it up again on Friday.

That Jordan Gross and Jon Beason were voted by the AP first string All Pro's!!! Would have liked to see D. Will

if thats true that just gives gross another barganing chip when negotiating his contract... that sucks they might have to choose between peppers or gross...

I don't know if they are going to have to choose. This year Peppers counts around 18 million against the cap. Gross counts 9 million. New long term deals would be much less. The real issue is just the overall dollar amount, will Richardson pay it? I think so.

Gross would be worth it at the $8.9 mil franchise tag cost. He would NOT carry the highest cap figure in the league among o-linemen at that number. Peppers, at $18.9 mil, would have the highest number in the league among ALL positions, a full TEN MILLION DOLLARS more than the second-most expensive DE. I'd rather have Terrell Suggs at 60% of that cost.

Let's win this first round in the playoffs first (hopefully on the way to winning the Superbowl) and then talk about offseason what-ifs. Why stir up controversies now? Speaking of which, what are the chances Dom Capers takes the defensive coordinator position in New Orleans?

It's true ... I was clicking around and read it, went back to the page to show one of my co-workers and it was gone. But I was thinking the same thing about the bargaining chips
