'Ecstatic' Gross confirms deal

Panthers left tackle Jordan Gross has confirmed that he's signed a six-year deal with the team.

"We're done, I want to confirm that," said Gross. "I'm ecstatic to be part of the Panthers."

According to sources, the deal is a frontloaded, six-year agreement with Gross that would pay him $30.5 million over the first three years of the deal – the biggest three-year payout ever to an offensive lineman.

We'll have more from Gross later.

Good job Marty. You did it. You saved your job for another year. Stressful stuff but you succeeded. Well done! Jordan, you're a good tackle but I think you just won the lottery. Now do us all a favor and learn how to watch the ball. Take charge of this offense and keep pounding. THANK GOD IT'S OVER! Now let's ship Pep to Siberia for a freezer full of yak meat and a furry hat. GO PANTHERS AND GO MARTY!

Gross owes Peppers a Rolex for giving him so much bargaining leverage in his contract negotiations. Now ship #90 outta here with a quickness!

Next up, Pep to the Broncos for the #12 pick -- and anything else that would be complete gravvy.

Kinda like Siberia but with better microbrew.
