Kemoeatu to have surgery Wednesday
Maake Kemoeatu will have surgery on Wednesday morning on his torn right Achilles tendon. Coach John Fox said the team won't make a decision until after Kemoeatu's surgery whether to put him on injured reserve, which would end his season.
Kemoeatu, the team's starting nose tackle, watched the Panthers' afternoon training camp practice with a protective boot on his right leg. He said he was "bummed out" about the injury, which occurred Monday morning during the team's first practice.

Put him on IR.
Gotta replace him ASAP.

i think a major reason this team has never had back 2 back winning seasons is because the Panthers simply cannot stay healthy 2 years in a row..
I'm really hoping the buck stops here w/ injuries.. the loss of Kemo is going to hurt hurt tremendously unless Hayden or rookie Cory Irvin or some other team's leftovers (robertson) can step up BIG time...
ps I think we should all cross our fingers about Duke Robinson

SIGN MIKE VICK!!!!

Shuan, why would Vick want to sign you?? I think he already has enough problems as it is.
Now the Duke is down too?!? It's only day two of training camp for cyring out loud. If sleepers ever had an opportunity to make an NFL roster, it would be with this year's Carolina Panthers. Go underdogs!!

First of all, you spelt my name wrong.. LOL
Second of all, you meant to point out "john," not me.
Third of all, the sign Mike Vick drama really just needs to stop..

His response was "I'm bummed out."?!?!?! Either thats the worst reporting ever or Kemoeatu is a man of (incredibly) few words.
In related news, Plaxico Burress admitted he was "a little annoyed" that he may be going to prison for three years.

The Panthers are about as likely to sign Mike Vick as they are to bring back Rae Carruth. Seriously, after Fred Lane and Rae Carruth every single played not named "Steve Smith" that has had any incident was cut or traded immediately. If Atlanta is at the bottom as the number 32 team on the list he could go to then Carolina in number 31.

At least we will have a top 5 pick in the draft...oh wait, Foxy and Hurney gave that away.....this is the beginning of the end of hte Fox and Hurney show....without Kemo, we will be lucky to win 4 games.

I can't believe a injury already!!

The offense must step up; the best defense is a good offense.
The offense will have to control the football and score some points.
I know injuries happen, but people need to show up for camp in good shape. For all the criticism Pep gets on message boards, when he shows up for the camp he is in shape.
