Fox: Starters will play vs. Steelers
Panthers coach John Fox said Wednesday he expects the team's starters to play some in Thursday's preseason finale against the Steelers on Thursday.
That wouldn't normally be significant news, except that none of the Panthers starters played at all in last season's final exhibition (also against Pittsburgh). But the Panthers had come off an impressive performance in their third exhbition last season against Washington. This year's third game, a 17-13 loss against Baltimore last Saturday, was another story.
It will give a struggling defense another chance to right itself and offensive starters like receiver Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams -- who haven't played in all three of the previous games -- more preseason reps.
RB Decori Birmingham (head), RB Jonathan Stewart (Achilles), safety Charles Godfrey (hand), cornerback Sherrod Martin (knee) and LB Na'il Diggs (day off) didn't practice Wednesday. -- David Scott

Again, all you have to do is proofread. Really not that hard.

It said, "who hadn't played in all three of the previous games".

Um, I'm pretty sure he meant that they haven't played in ALL of the previous games. It doesn't take much to figure that one out guys.

I trust I'm not the only one wondering why there has been little to no information about Stewart? All that has been reported has been limited to the following:
1. Achilles is sore, didn't practice
2. Achilles is sore, didn't practice but REALLY wants to play
3. Excused from practice for "personal reasons."
Any chance someone, i.e. The Observer, can do their job and tell us what the hell is really going on with this guy?

Anonymous and Rico,
you guys need to read things carefully before trying to correct someone. The man said that they "haven't played in all three of the previous games". Meaning they have played in at last one game but not in each of the three games. Then he added that playing Thursday would give them "more preseason reps". Meaning that they have already had some reps this preseason and would be getting additional reps by playing in Thursday's game. Comprehension is a very important part of reading. Oh and that means understanding what you read. Just a little dose of your own medicine. Now lets stop being so petty and talk some football...
Go Panthers!
