Davis misses practice again; questionable for Bills

Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis missed practice Friday with a hamstring injury and is questionable for Sunday's game against Buffalo.

If Davis doesn't play, he'd likely be replaced at weakside linebacker by Landon Johnson.

The Panthers have four other players listed as questionable, but they all practiced Friday: Kicker Rhys Lloyd (ankle), linebacker Na'il Diggs (rib), fullback Brad Hoover (back) and running back Jonathan Stewart (Achilles). -- David Scott

They might as well say he's officially out. No reason to rush him back for the Bills.

Still, the Bills are a NFL team...you know the expression, any given Sunday. It hurts not having one of your best defenders on the field. Hope he can make it, but those hammys are notoriously tricky.

I thought James Anderson was the backup at the weakside LB spot?

He has been backing up Davis and Diggs. So I look for Anderson to start and possibly split time with Johnson if needed.

This game is going to be a stinker. These are two terrible teams. The real competition will be who has more fans in the stands. Bills take that category.

With Davis out, who will make tackles? It could be a very long Sunday.

Rest him for next Sunday........we will smoke the bills

This guy is always injured...if you can't play what good are you to the team

Well I can see why Davis always seems injured, he played in 16 games in o8, 16 in 07,14 in 06, and 16 in 05. Yea only played in 67 of 69 games since getting drafted by the panthers ...... what a lame duck!

Guess the "weakside" will really be the weak side this Sunday. Hope the Defense holds up without TD.

wiseguy716 there aren't that many bills fans in the carolinas, you make it seem like were playing the deadskins again. I can understand seeing lots of redskings fans because this use to be their territory, but Buffalo? Maybe some transplants, but not that many to have more fans in the stands then panthers fans.

This is huge. TD has been so strong this year. Prayers to you big guy.

What happen to Dan Connor.. i thought you was a versatile LB.. our Defense dont have to play... Jake will lead us to victory

There will be ALOT of Bills fans in the crowd. Many transplants from that area. They are not dirtbags like Eagles fans.
Prediction: Psnthers are going to run for 300 yards. Smitty will catch six balls for 120 yards and his first touchdown. Jake will remember how to play the game. Panthers win 34-10. Take it to the bank.

There will NOT be alot of Bills fans in the crowd. I went to a preseason game a few years back when panthers played the Bills at home. I counted maybe a few dozen, but that was all. Yall act like were the arizona cardinals, where every sunday half their crowd is from the road team, ridiculous.

I know we will be alright at the weakside. Anderson filled in for TD during the preseason and did a good job. Look for the D to be OK..
