Lloyd, Diggs, Hoover, Stewart sit out #Panthers practice
The only mild surprise on the Panthers' injury report today was that kickoff specialist Rhys Lloyd didn't participate. He apparently injured his ankle slightly attempting to make a tackle on Tampa Bay's 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown last Sunday.
Three others who didn't participate, probably just for rest/precautionary purposes -- linebacker Na'il Diggs (rib), fullback Brad Hoover (back), and running back Jonathan Stewart (Achilles).

Dude just fell on his ass, that was no "attempt" at a tackle.

At least this isnt that "It ain't over unless the virtuoso stops singing" article again. It's still there 3 times on 1 page, just to take up space i guess......

Sooooooooooo,
How was practice? Who looked good? How was the tempo and attitude? What was the mood in the locker room?
OK observer....What is it...ya say...you do here??? Cause I'm not satisfied with this lethargic lack of coverage.

How humiliating - to get injured on a whiff. Probably ranks just above blowing your leg out during the first 15 minutes of the 1st practice in terms of embarrassing injuries.
What are Rhys's touchback numbers this year, compared to last year? Maybe it's me, but it sure doesn't seem like he's getting those kickoffs into the endzone. That's his sole purpose for being on the roster right now, and he obviously didn't kick it far enough to prevent the 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Without consistent touchbacks, what else is he good for?

I recevied a mobile update from ESPN about an hour ago. I quote: "WR Mushin Muhammad thinks Panthers are tipping defenses on when they call pass plays"
What is THAT all about? I can't find any article referring to this blurb anywhere.

That was in a article by Steve Reed on carolina growl website. http://www.carolinagrowl.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=195:column-muhammad-believes-opponents-know-when-panthers-plan-to-throw-the-ball&catid=1:articles

Thanks, John! I saw other quotes from that same interview earlier this week, but not the part about tipping off defenses.
I like how at the end he emphasized the bottom line, which is that we WON, woeful passing game and all. Maybe he can confirm for Smith that in Fox's offense, you're going to spend a lot of plays blocking for Double Trouble...or chasing after the guy that just intercepted your intended pass.

Mr Bernz hit the nail on the head with what he said and it is the same way on Steve Reeds posts. How about some real info on practices every day and Practice Squad adds like how they doing and what can the fans expect if they get called up one Sunday to play. For instance this guy Duncan they just added looks big I know he was on the Bucs squad up until 10/13. Found this out on my own searching. But cannot find what round was he drafted or even if he was drafted. It is time for you guys to give us some real info for a change this stuff is awful in my opinion.

that was a tackle by lloyd?

Does this mean Goodson is back? Are we gonna see him play some in the slot like it was thought that we would before the season because I think that could be the jumpstart this passing offense needs if he can make some plays from the slot along with Jarrett or Kenny Moore.

In all fairness, the article said he was "slightly" attempting to make a tackle.
