Moose, Godfrey, Rosario out for Arizona game

As expected, the Panthers will be without at least three prominent players in Sunday's game at Arizona.

The team announced that wide receiver Muhsin Muhammad (knee), safety Charles Godfrey (ankle) and tight end Dante Rosario (knee) would be out vs. the Cardinals.

That likely means that third-year man Dwayne Jarrett will get a start in Muhammad's place and could give rookie defensive back Sherrod Martin his first career start at safety. Rosario's inavailability provides more playing time at tight end for Gary Barnidge.

Five players were listed as questionable for the game -- linebackers Thomas Davis (hamstring) and Landon Johnson (shoulder), running backs Jonathan Stewart (Achilles), fullback Brad Hoover (back) and kicker Rhys Lloyd (ankle).

I like Gary Barnidge, that huge catch down field last game for the TD really shows why he was a top receiving threat in college. What amazes me Jake actually hit him on target. All his TD's have been thrown to Tight Ends. Maybe we should just line up with 4 Tight Ends instead of 4 Wide Receivers. Maybe then Jake could complete a lot more passes. Only makes since, they are larger targets (This is a Joke). Godfrey is pathetic, he isn't physical at all, all I see is the Predator running around throwing his shoulder at the feet of players. 7th rounder Captain Munnerlyn starts over 2nd rounder Sherrod Martin when it comes to playing DB, thats laughable drafting by Fox.

Fox is scared to play Matt Moore because he might actually come out on the first play and throw a 25 yard pass just like he did on his first snap against Philadelphia.

I've heard "The captain goes down with his ship", but at some point you have to have enough since to use the life boat (Matt Moore).

After Jakes first pick Fox better take him out, throw Matt Moore into the fire, I guarantee you he won't be any worse, and God knows he could come out and pull a Tony Romo on us. He then would be a QB to actually throw to Jarrett instead of:Smith/Smith/Smith/Smith/Smith/Smith....

Anyone else understand what I'm saying here?

I think these 3 injuries are all blessings in disguise. Moose may be playing in his final year, and Jarrett may be playing his final year as a Panther if he doesn't step up really soon. Godfrey has just kinda "been there" this year, so let's see if Martin can make a noticeable impact on the field. I love all of our tight ends, and Barnidge will do just fine in place of Rosario (except maybe on the blocking; I understand that's one of Gary's weaker aspects to his game).

Change is good.

yeah too bad I didn't get hurt last week...

my first comment would be "Who cares"

My second...

A WR not being available is not really important. Jake doesn't throw the ball to them anyway. He's much more effective throwing to defensive players.

Fox...Hurney...quit.

Moose being out hurts our run-blocking.

Agree on Moose.......he's lost it.

Time to hang 'em up, perhaps overdue (see Mike Minter).

I said it earlier, Stewart,Deangelo and Smmity... Stop running up Muhammads' Backside when he is blocking! Left or Right not on TOP!!!!!

Cameron you are right! We will see Feely before Moore "Just Wait", because if Moore is productive. Fox is scared to look STUPID for agreeing with Hurney to give Delhomme an extension and not try our Project(Moore).

For everyone thinking Peppers is a changed man... Per his Speech! Just P.R. Control for his future negotiations! Damage Control for all the other, 31 Teams!
