Counting down to kickoff

A few notes, thoughts, etc., before kickoff

-- Panthers are wearing black jerseys today. When that decision was made months ago, it's unlikely they were expecting mid-November temperatures in the upper 70s. It's an absolutely splendid day for a game.

-- WR Muhsin Muhammad is back in uniform after missing the past two games with a sprained knee. Muhammad said last week it was the first knee injury of his 14-year career.

-- Interesting move by the Panthers de-activating Mike Goodson today in favor of Tyrell Sutton. Could be an insurance policy at fullback in case Tony Fiammetta gets hurt or has any complications from the concussion sidelined him two weeks ago. However, coach John Fox made it clear in his comments last week that he was very impressed with Sutton's play, not only as a fill-in fullback when Fiammetta and Brad Hoover out, but also as a runner, in last Sunday's game at New Orleans.

From the looks of television it appears the upper deck is far from full.
