Diggs returns to practice, but listed as questioanble

Panthers linebacker Na'il Diggs practiced for the first time this week today, albeit on a limited basis, and is listed as questionable on the team's injury report for Sunday's game at the New York Jets.

Diggs is suffering from a ribs/sternum injury suffered when he tackles Miami tight end Joey Haynos in the Nov. 19 game against the Dolphins.

Defensive end Charles Johnson (pectoral) is listed as doubltful and didn't practice. He hasn't practiced since suffering the injury Nov. 15 against Atlanta.

Three players who fully participated are listed as questionable -- fullback Brad Hoover (ankle), defensive tackle Damione Lewis (shoulder) and running back Jonathan Stewart (Achilles).

Two players who practiced fully are listed as probable for the game -- defensive end Julius Peppers (hand) and safety Charles Godfrey (ankle).

Coach John Fox said Peppers' hand injury, which he's only described as "messed up," has improved.
