First Quarter Update: Jets 7, Panthers 0
One of the most bizarre plays you'll see any season gave the Jets the only points of the first period.
Carolina quarterback Jake Delhomme, running the no-huddle offense, tried to throw a pass to his left to Steve Smith. However, Smith apparently missed the call and didn't turn around for the ball, which instead hit his foot.
The ball richocheted off of Smith's foot and wound up in the hands of Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis, who returned it 67 yards for a touchdown.
It was the third time this season that a Delhomme interception has been returned for a touichdown.

They suck. They being them, all of them. Coaches players owner. No plan of attack....just try different plays in a random fashion. I am going to write Richardson and ask if I can pay for my PSL's every other year since they only win on that schedule. Would be one thing if they lacked talent. They lack a PLAN!

Watching the Panthers play football is a cure for insomnia..

It is like staring at the car wreck as you drive by. It is horrible yet for some reason we cannot help but look. Maybe one day the ownership will get the idea that fans.....by definition those who help pay the bills.....want some excitement. They want a PLAN!!!!!!!

uh oh bad Jake...

Smitty don't have it anymore...he never has let anyone take the ball from him like he is doing now.
I have seen that guy with 2 guys on him and get that ball and now its like ..ya want it ya can have it.

Smith had they guy beat and might have been the only guy in America who did not anticipate that Jake would under throw the ball. Jake sucks, Steve sucks. They all suck. I am hard pressed to come up with a single player who is having a good year other than Williams. Stewart misses blitzes week in week out, Beason misses tackles and coverages. Ownership is ok with mediocre. It is contagious. The rest of the team gave up when Fox kept slurping Jake.

Cutler had moved ahead of Jake for the INT lead, trying to get that title back.

He was no where near his receiver on those two passes. He is absolutely horrible. He has lost it, he is poorly coached and has been given a terrible game plan. Other than that I think Fox is one heck of a football mind. Really he is, look at the back up quarterback talent he has developed in his time here.

Ok, I have been a die-hard Panthers fan since day one but at this point I've had enough. If Fox doesn't sit Jake for the second half and the rest of the season I am officially done with this team for the year. I will not go to any more games this year (I go to all of them)and they will lose my business. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I can't believe that Jake will start in the 2nd half and if he does it clearly means that the coaches has given up on this season and they need fired at the end of the season. The team don't seem to be trying to win they're not playing with any intensity and again you have to blame the coaches for not getting you team mentally prepared before the game.Even the commentators see that Jake is a lost cause why can't we.

In 2002 Rodeny Peete was not doing well Rodney was pulled at halftime in favor of Jake it was a great move we went to the superbowl the next year. Well that time has come again It's halftime Jake needs to be pulled I don't care who they put in but it's time for a change

Like no one saw this coming... This team is the definition of boring. I always said Gayhomme should have been gone four years ago.
19 years a franchise and never an above average QB, NEVER!!!

Fire Fox, get rid of Jake and let Matt Moore play the rest of the game. Why Does Jerry Richardson not tell Fox to bench Jake and let Moore play, what is wrong with this team. I want my money back for the PSL seats, The Panthers stink, Jake and Fox need to go, Now!! Tired of watching Jake make mistakes. We want Matt Moore now!! Jake has always been a back-up quarterback, never a lst. QB. Fox should know that. I have sent e-mails after e-mails to Jerry asking to replace Jake and Fox, let Moore play.

Fox says Jake is his guy. I am shocked, absolutely shocked. Not.
Fox is so stubborn.
He has lost this defense. They have to be so p o'd at him for leaving Jake in there.

How can Fox continue to believe that Jake gives him the best chance to win a football game..Moore must really be awful during practice
Posted by: Sparky | Nov 29, 2009 2:43:02 PM
Bench Jake! Bench Jake!, Fire Fox get Cowhen for Coach, Del-Rio and Poilan back. We may win some games. The whole team is tired of Jake and Fox. Do something now!!
