Kasay questionable for Saints

Panthers kicker John Kasay (groin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game in New Orleans against the Saints. Kasay didn't practice for a second straight day Friday.

Fullback Brad Hoover (ankle) is out. He suffered a high ankle sprain last Sunday against Arizona.

Others who are questionable and didn't practice: S Charles Godfrey (ankle), receiver Muhsin Muhammad (knee), fullback Tony Fiammetta and tight end Dante Rosario (knee).

Muhammad, however, said Thursday that he didn't expect to play.

Linebacker Landon Johnson (shoulder) and running back Jonathan Stewart (Achilles) both practiced and are also listed as questionable. -- David Scott

We sure need everybody healthy for Sunday. That's my understatement of the day.

If we could just get Rosario healthly we could at least have 2 TE and 1 TE/FB. With him out that leaves us with 1 TE and 1 TE/FB.

i hope this game doesn't come down to a kick. imagine we actually hang with the best team in the nfl and what if (like last year at NO) the game hinges on us making a last second field goal. i think i'd rather have kasay hobble out there on one leg than put llyod in that kind of spot. considering he hasn't even attempted one field goal since he has been with the panthers.

The Saints are going to kill us. Won't watch this one. We need everybody healthy and that is not the case and Jake has still got to be hurting - you know they will go after him. Going to be bad bad

So would Rhys Lloyd take over FG duty?

Posted by: Ray | Nov 6, 2009 3:21:55 PM

Hell no. Are you kidding? I can't do that shit.

Posted by: Rhys Lloyd | Nov 6, 2009 3:31:55 PM

Blimey that John Kasay is no good anymore anyways. The sheer fact that he is twice my age and yet still kicking is Codswallop. The kicking power of my dishy bionic leg should be enough to win the job.

The man or woman above me is an impostor, only I am the true Rhys Lloyd. That bloody impostor should be Snookered off!

Fox is coach of the year if we win tomorrow.

Picking Panthers with an Upset this week!

Posted by: panthers24 | Nov 6, 2009 4:52:07 PM

HAve2650, if we win tomorrow, John Fox isn't just the coach of the year, he's the greatest coach of all time because WE DON'T PLAY TOMORROW. The panthers play on Sunday

Posted by: Reid | Nov 6, 2009 5:40:37 PM

I think Lloyd will be fine kicking field goals for a game or 2, he has a strong leg, & i am sure he is practicing all week aiming it, there will be no wind in the dome to worry about. Wiggles youre a true bandwagon fan huh, not gonna watch it? Jake threw for 15 plays last week & the Panthers won, they can do that with Moore if Jake cant handle it. Keep the passes short & the runs long, Panthers will win this 1 and Wiggles will look silly for not watching it.

Good grief! What's in our drinking water around here? Sure they drink bottle water though! So many injuries. If Fox get's us to the playoffs then he should be coach of the year!!!

Posted by: panfan1 | Nov 6, 2009 6:59:26 PM

I've seen Rys kick field goals before a few games' and he ain't to shabby !!!

Posted by: nasty 704 | Nov 6, 2009 7:00:50 PM

So, let's go with the BIONIC LEG!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: nasty 704 | Nov 6, 2009 7:02:13 PM

Yea Wiggles, I think the Lions need someone like U !

Posted by: nasty 704 | Nov 6, 2009 7:03:34 PM

HAve 2650, you need to follow wiggles to the Lions !

Posted by: nasty 704 | Nov 6, 2009 7:07:05 PM

I hope Kasay can go, but if not good luck Lloyd!

Posted by: Elizabeth | Nov 6, 2009 8:17:47 PM

Man, the writers for this newspaper are just as bad as the bandwagon fans............

Posted by: sirpurr | Nov 6, 2009 9:36:45 PM

sooner or later lloyd will be kicking our field goals and when did the saints become the 86 bears. they are still the saints.

Posted by: joe cool | Nov 6, 2009 10:10:50 PM

Baker will kick, before Lloyd.

Posted by: fox has to go!! | Nov 7, 2009 8:15:06 AM

i heard Lloyd was practicing so i doubt Baker will kick them.

Posted by: MrBernz | Nov 7, 2009 10:58:00 AM

Lloyd has always wanted to do the FG assignment as he has said last year. He has one serious leg.
