Kyle greets former teammates

-- Lots of pre-game activity around Saints long snapper Jason Kyle with his former Panthers teammates. Kyle was with Carolina for eight seasons before signing with New Orleans earlier this year. Kyle was known for his consistency for the Panthers; his replacement, second-year player J.J. Jansen, has been as consistent, though.

-- Not a lot of familiar faces, however, for Jake Delhomme, who is from nearby Breaux Bridge, La., and played for the Saints from '98-'02. Defensive end Charles Grant is the only player on the Saints roster who was in New Orleans when Delhomme was. No current Saints coaches were around then, either.

-- Here are Delhomme's stats in his four unbeaten starts in the Superdome with the Panthers:

2003: 12 of 27, 148 yards, 0 TDs, 0 INTs, 62.0 rating, Score: 23-20

2004: 22-29, 294, 1,0, 119.0, Score: 32-31

2005 (played in Baton Rouge,La.)

2006: 23-27, 207, 2,0, 123.3, Score: 31-21

2007: Injured

2008: 14-20, 250, 1, 0, 129.2, Score 33-31
