No word yet on Davis's injury
Panthers coach John Fox said today the injury to linebacker Thomas Davis's knee hasn't been diagnosed yet. Davis left Sunday's game against the New Orleans in the fourth quarter and didn't return.
Fox said Davis's right knee is still being evaluated.
Fox might have given an indication, however, that he's worried it might be a severe injury. "I feel bad for him and his family," he said.
"I'm concerned anytime anybody is hurt," Fox said. "We've got a long list."
The Panthers will release more injury information on Wednesday, including the status of fullbacks Brad Hoover (ankle) and Tony Fiammetta (concussion), safety Charles Godfrey (ankle), tight end Dante Rosario (knee) and receiver Muhsin Muhammad (knee). None of those players played Sunday against the Saints. -- David Scott

Any word on why Peppers was on the bench for so much time during the Saints' final (and critical) drives?

Mike, it has been like that the past couple of weeks. Where have you been??? It is when Poopers was on the bench that the D-Line made some hug plays, and that includes this last game. The media is not reporting this because I'm sure it is not in their best interests to do so. After all, it's not like they are slacking.
