Saints' inactives

As was known would be the case since Friday's injury report, the Saints inactives include starting defensive tackles Sedrick Ellis and Kendrick Clancy. Anthony Hargrove takes over the starting spot for Ellis and Remi Ayodele fills in for Clancy, who was placed on injured reserve and is out for the season.

Also inactive is usual starting strongside linebackerr Scott Fujita. He'll be replaced by Jo-Lonn  Dunbar.

The injuries could greatly impact the game because the Saints could be hindered in their ability to stop Carolina's running attack. New Orleans has to hope to get into a scoring shootout with the Panthers, forcing Carolina to pass more than run.

Other Saints' inactives are kicker Garrett hartley, wide receiver Lancy Moore, cornerback Leigh Torrence, running back Lynell Hamilton, linebacker Scott Fujita, and  center Nick Leckey. Former University of Missouri star Chase Daniel is the third (emergency) quarterback.
